Wasn't their only league win so far this season a 0-2 at West Ham?Newcastle are dreadful away in London
Nah...cant remember the year but we had the trip up north when Owusu put us ahead, only for Craig Bellamy to come off the bench and tear us a new one. 1-3??Is the last time we played them competitively 1992/93? (lost at home 1-2 - Blissett).

Plus Marcus Gayle.......through on goal......bursts a tyre, and veers off to the corner flag.....Not sure but that game their first goal if I can remember was 10 yards offside !
Loved the Keegan song ‘hit him on the head ..... ‘

Last time I've been on a football special.2001
The day after nine eleven2001
12th September 2001. Day after the Twin Towers came down. Made for a very sombre mood on the train.Last time I've been on a football special.
We were v unlucky not to get a result in that game. Absolutely laid their goal under siege last 10 minutes.
Potteries derby?Stoke/Newcastle, it's all north. It's a derby.
I still have nightmaresPlus Marcus Gayle.......through on goal......bursts a tyre, and veers off to the corner flag.....![]()

Thanks for posting. Different from the version I remember, which had Brian Moore doing the commentary (it's on a VHS in the loft somewhere). "Can Blissett get in behind them - yes! Brentford are right back in this game!"And if anyone is interested, here is a full replay of our home game v Newcastle in 1992
Who can forget that little **** Dwight Gayle.
A very effective goal scorer at Championship level.Who can forget that little **** Dwight Gayle.
He may well be, but has the habit of winding up our fans, when he came with Newcastle and West Brom, also has the tendency to fall over rather easily.A very effective goal scorer at Championship level.
We’ve already beaten 2 more PL teams than they have!Wasn't their only league win so far this season a 0-2 at West Ham?
To be honest, I'm not sure who they'd bring in that would make it an undesirable tie... They had Rafa before and they're not getting that stature again! Brucey-ball may be the only real way they'll get enough points this season, and that will probably be a crawl rather than a run.Need Bruce to stay in the job til December. If so, it's def the most winnable of the teams left
Nope. 2016/17 when they went up (and did the double over us) Before that was the League Cup in 2001 (the day after 9/11) when we lost 4-1 after extra time. We haven't beaten Newcastle since 1948. Well overdue!!Is the last time we played them competitively 1992/93? (lost at home 1-2 - Blissett).
We hadn't beaten West Brom at their place since about 1837 so its written in the stars! We haven't beaten Newcastle since 1948. Well overdue!!
I'm still recovering from the walk to the top of the away end.Quite a few on here seem to forget we played them a couple of seasons back. lol
We were 5 rows from the back....................I'm still recovering from the walk to the top of the away end.
Great views along the river to Tynemouth from there... and there's a pitch in view somewhere down there, too!I'm still recovering from the walk to the top of the away end.
Great weekend with my daughter. Only bad part was the match!Quite a few on here seem to forget we played them a couple of seasons back. lol
