I would like to say a few words in support of the excellent Lifeline Society, and not just for its fantastic endeavours over the years, but also its continuing support for our club. I moved home about 14 years ago and forgot to give Lifeline my new address and wondered if it had lapsed. Having emailed I received not only an immediate response and update of my details and a new membership card from Derek Hazel, who is still the treasurer but also an immediate reply from none other than our Mr Brentford, Peter Gilham of course, detailing some of the recent contributions to our club. And not just all the social support, which was seriously curtailed with Covid, but many very practical benefits, not least important items of gym equipment, benefits to enhance our training pitch, and 'close to my own heart' as a cardiologist, two new potentially life-saving defibrillators and an external chest compressor (and we've all recently witnessed how beneficial those can be in a football stadium). I understand there may soon be prizes including Premium seats to be won, for home games.
Well done to the Lifeline society and all those helping with its administration and those supporting as members. For any of you that can find the time to read this then please consider becoming members and help give some further support to our great club.

I thought they'd been suspended but maybe I'm in the same boat as most and just never been notified of anything. I did win a "VIP" package many, many years ago.

Just seen it mentioned on the Club's website but wondering if any members had been notified about it as I was totally unaware. Bit disappointed to be honest that there is next to no correspondence nowadays and no idea whether there are still any prize draws either

First and foremost may I thank you for your continuing membership of the Brentford Lifeline Society.

As you will appreciate because of the COVID pandemic, last season off the pitch, certainly not on it, was a bit of a write off. A number of initiatives which we would normally support including obviously matchday hospitality, Sporting Dinners, the Player of the Year Dinner etc were curtailed.

However thanks to the support offered by the Lifeline Society towards various projects which fall outside of the accepted budgets, Lifeline have been able to finance a number of items of gym equipment for the players, and in the last couple of months two defibrillators for use at the new Stadium and a LUCAS chest compression device to aid cardiac arrest patients again at the Stadium.
The importance of our financial support for such initiatives was never better highlighted than the televised match at Newcastle United recently when the game was halted to treat a supporter who had suffered a cardiac arrest and a defib was rushed to the said supporter to give essential medical aid.

In the past couple of weeks the Society financed the fencing surrounding the newly installed Number One pitch at the Training Ground. The fencing is the same as that used at England`s headquarters at St George`s Park. This recent financial support for Club projects came to just over £30,000.

With the return of fans to the new Stadium, the Society have purchased for the next five seasons, a number of Premium seats for which our next Draw will be for the home match versus Manchester City on 29th December.

This very week 16 lucky Lifeline Members will have taken delivery of a Christmas Hamper courtesy of the most recent Lifeline Draw, whilst another 20 winners and their guests will form the Christmas get together this coming Thursday at The Brentford Novotel.

Needless to say we will also be supporting any new initiatives involving fans that the Club may launch whilst we will continue to provide the lifeline to the Club we set ourselves up for some 36 years ago.

At some point over the next couple of months I will be looking to re-introduce the occasional newsletters for Members that include such as recent winners together with anything pertaining to Lifeline.

Thanks for the swift response Peter. My support of Lifeline is never in doubt and i know as a contributor that we do so much good for the football club. Yes, its nice to win in the occasional draw (ps if we were ever to reintroduce holidays, my lifeline number is ..ok ,-) ) however its great to just feel part of a group assisting the club where it can.

However, it's just so quiet on the news front. I know you're busy but just a quick update on this thread and/or club website from time to time would be appreciated. It was pure luck i read about the do this week and see.there is a also an auction but is it a closed event not that i could make it anyhow and is the auction closed to just those in attendance? I'm not sure about the golden boot but what about other items ?
