Don't Shoot the Messenger please

BUT

If you look at the dates for the second Leg of the EFL Cup

There IS a Scenario where Liverpool v Arsenal second leg could be played on Thursday Jan 13th

and you know what happens to clubs who have a Thursday game

The following game gets played on a SUNDAY :banghead::banghead::banghead:

It WOULD make more sense to move Spurs FA Cup tie back to Sat 8th which would be the best scenario for Brentford !!!

Luckily managed to amend parking to the Sunday for no extra but a real pain in the ass, many will be out of pocket because of this. Sunday drive with work the next day :(

Looks like train on Sunday is hour longer on the direct option on the Sunday.

Will speak to avanti to see where we stand with switching days.

Surely when the PL and sky agree a date its cast in stone hence supporters waiting to get it confirmed before planning.

Got a refund minus 10 quid admin fee for Saturday and managed to re-book for Sunday for just 12 more than the refund amount, direct trains this time too, so not so bad here.

The sooner we get relegated the sooner we get back to some sort of normality and enjoyment of regular football.
This is a movement we should all be getting behind.

I don’t know about you lot, but playing Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea etc in the league once every 75 years is more than enough me.

Oh how I long for the annual trip to Gillingham and freezing my nuts off at Boundary Park in the middle of August.

No longer do I want to see the best Brentford squad ever assembled going toe to toe with Salah, Ronaldo or De Bruyne. Give me Eddie Hutch and the headless chicken routine at Port Vale any day.

As I had coach tickets, this hasn't really affected me.
This is a real pain in the arse for those that had trains booked, having been told the date was set in stone

Managed to cancel Saturday train (Euston to Lime Street) and get refund (less £10 cancelation fee) and booked for the Sunday (Out 08.47 -> 12.11; back 17.48 ->20.32 ). The Sunday price jumped up £30 as I was booking it . This premier league lark is an expensive business. I don't know why the powers that be in football don't just do away with fans completely as I am sure they find them a terrible inconvenience.

Sigh, no doubt once it'll be cancelled for covid after we've all forked out on moving train tickets.

My tickets have been re-booked by my friend. Very limited choice on the Sunday morning, I am told.
Trains are slower but actually cheaper than the Saturday at the moment

So the mighty Premier League bow down to a relatively Mickey Mouse competition. At least Covid has something to say for itself as was planning a weekend up there for the game but decided against it because of that. Oh well there's hopefully next season
