If we’re just posting random and meaningless photos of our ‘journeys’ today, here’s the Waitrose at Warwick Services. It stocks three types of hummus (Classic, Lemon and Coriander, and Red Pepper).

Hope this helps.

Red Pepper Hummus is lovely...my favourite hummus...😂

I've clicked on the GPG each morning since Thurs to specifically check they haven't asked for a Covid postponement....and we've passed the final check! Will be travelling in shortly.

It’s a good question. But has it actually been confirmed? Or just a “train rumour”. And where did they wash their hands?!

Its not a rumour. The toilets been closed and the train manager reported it to the office as she walked past me!

👍
Will probably be doing the same for Everton.
Out of interest, where are you parking?
North Liverpool Academy is £8 and about 20 minutes walk to Anfield so not much more to Goodison. But it shuts an hour after the end of the game so you may need to get your skates on after!

Back at 8.40pm in Leytonstone so not a bad drive considering the detour round Luton.

Ellencliff Drive, about 15 mins (fast) walk but the opposite direction to Goodison.

No longer my beloved NAM
By the way everyone, @rebus is a proper gentleman, gave a random kid off the GPG a free lift there and back as a random act of kindness, good conversations, good banter and good advice too, thank you very much mate. Great day out, I won't forget this.
Bit weird but I like it (I think )

My mate is Liverpool season ticket holder and advises the North Liverpool academy:

All good mate. Yes park at the North Liverpool academy. It’s only £8 it’s a ten minute walk to the ground. It’s very safe. It’s normally open about 3 hours before kick off. Most other car parks are closer are more money and no better. It’s busy getting out but everywhere is. Once you’re in your car you’ll need to turn left out of the car park to get out. But once you’re in your car you are warm and dry it’s just a bit of a que.

He didn’t define ‘bit’…
Thank your mate for the recommendation.

I’ll let you know if I ever make it out! 😉

A goal kick from Harrow Borough FC
Heading for the 7.00am coaches, reached Ealing by bus at 5.50am, only to see a 65 leaving. B***er! A 20 minute wait…There’s an empty Rail Replacement bus waiting, and a weird conversation then ensued with the driver. “Where are you headed?” I asked.
“Where would you like to go?”
“Brentford”.
“I can go to South Ealing.”
“When are you leaving?”
“Now, if you like.”

And so there I was, the only passenger on a double decker bus non-stop from Ealing Broadway to South Ealing. After that he turned right, presumably towards Northfields, in the hunt for more random custom..

We turned right, instead of left out of the car park, thus avoiding most of the queue and then left which missed most of the traffic out. Think I’ll park there again if we go back 👍
Yeah, we did the same eventually. I have to say the drive out of Liverpool was one of the most tortuous I’ve ever experienced!
