Do Cray Valley have a morning team too? Otherwise what does the PM mean?

Why don't they call themselves Cray Valley Paper Mills then? Why not CV Paper Mills? or Cray V Paper M?
Good Point. But if they did, you'd be asking why they don't call themselves Cray Valley (PM).

Round One has nominally been scheduled for Nov 7th but clubs can change to suit and play when they see fit but have been asked to play at least one round before Christmas and hopefully two.
I also think Barking are playing Hanwell Town in round one rather than having a bye.
I would imagine the FA Cup rules will apply re spectators at present, in that Step 3 below can have fans but no away fans for Step 2 and above.

Assume these will be behind closed doors?
I presume that the same rules apply, as per the FA Cup, regarding Elite and Non Elite clubs.

Not quite sure where Brentford B fit into this.

Brentford B are an elite club

I read that the Fulham academy were playing at a non league ground

But fans were still not allowed to attend

As we're away to a non elite club does that mean fans can attend? Would be a shame if not. They let us in to watch the final at Hanwell a couple of weeks back.

Non-Elite club fans are all immune to COVID, of course.
...and so obviously are the elite club visiting fans. Please distance socially esp. if shouting and singing and wear good quality masks, respect hand and mask hygiene and do not behave antisocially. The PNE and Bees supporters attending the Corinthians last week may have been attending legally (although definitely not in the spirit of allowing small club loyal attendance), but this was seriously anti-social behaviour. Crowds at present are a definite no no. Many of us, especially the elderly are taking great care to minimise the impact of the pandemic, by taking great care to socially isolate with all its attendant short term negative impact on our wellbeing, but in an endeavour to try and shorten the long term impact of the pandemic.

Cracking game of two halves. Very enjoyable. Some really nice football, lots of goals and a bit of aggro! Can't beat it this live football lark....

Brentford B lined up with 3 at the back with Stevens and Gordon as wing backs. Joe Adams was central with Carre and Valgeirsson and Gilbert operated as two no.10s behind Pressley. Game started at a great pace with the bees passing the ball around at a good pace using one or two touches. Joe Adams started the rout off with a fantastic goal, lovely through ball by the Icelandic kid, he cut in on his right foot and curled it into the top corner. We got 5 more goals, most of them top quality. Valgeirsson got two and was unlucky not to get a hat-trick.. 6-0 HT (VV 2, Adams, Gilbert, Pressley, Gordon)

Second half, completely different game, Hendon came at us and were v aggressive, got an early goal and pushed us back. The boys worked really hard though and kept it tight, Balcombe making a couple of excellent saves when called upon. Mistake from Stevens gave them a second but there was never really any chance they'd get back into it. All got a little bit heated with a few tasty tackles flying in, though the ref didn't book anyone surprisingly.. 6-2 FT

Story of the night though is the new Icelandic kid Valgeir Valgersson. He's absolute quality. What a debut. Quick, aggressive, smart, skilful, great energy, composure.. Blimey.. He made fantastic runs off the ball, found loads of space and was getting into great positions in the box. Great touch and awareness. Lovely ball through for Adams for the first, great finish for his first and a cheeky 'overhead' for his second. Could well have had a hat-trick had Pressley been on the same wavelength. If he can keep this up he'll be with the first team squad in no time.. V impressive... :sorted:

Mentions to Adams and Carre who ran the midfield in the first half, the three centre backs did v well too, with some intelligent passing out of defence and with a good tempo too. Gordon looked a livewire on the left and Gilbert showed some great touches and a lovely finish. All worked really hard too in a tough second half.. Will have been a great education for them this game..

Was Valgersson really that good ?

YES! obviously it's just one game but he looks like he's got all the right attributes.. He's got the energy of a young Sergi but he also seems to have the final product and decision making.. He's only been here a couple of weeks but looked like he'd been playing with us for months the way he was linking up with the rest of the team. If he can keep that up and we can improve him then we've got a hell of a prospect. And he's only 18...
