Hopefully only the London 2012 "Golden Generation" have succumbed to it, not their successors.I am overwhelmed by their integrity and genuine charm - some of the recent lot see their fame as a massive introduction into the 'cash cow' - I know other sports people do the same - just thought Olympians were more like 'your average' bloke on the street.
I guess I misinterpretted that.I wanted to play football for Brentford! However, I had challenges to overcome. Although I spoke no English, and I was small and skinny, they found a place for me. With my blinding pace I was made right back for the Brentford youth team.
As per nocoats link on the first page. Hasn't made it any further across the interweb though, so probably no substance.Where is that from?! Even his PE teacher at Feltham school said he wasn't a footballer! I think someone's written that with a Brentord bias! He's Arsenal, and he's said so in many tv interviews.
