Doubt we can compete with an offer of Prem League football but you never know.

Though a quiet word from our Danes who know him and have played together, particularly accompanied by a video of our game v Newcastle might persuade!

Would agree, however, Newcastle (Ashley) are known to be tight with player (and Managerr) salaries, so you never know. We are no light weights now, and our Danish contingent must be a massive pull to any Dane plying his trade abroad.

Says we are close to a deal with Genoa but Torino willing to pay an 'onerous' upfront loan fee which we do not want to

Is this being touted as a "proper" loan then or a "Ghoddos/Benrahma" loan?

I imagine we would only pay a loan fee on our terms. So we wouldn't want him to go somewhere else in 6 months.

"However, there is agreement that if it becomes a rental stay, then with a purchase option will be built-in. However, it is not pointed out what the price should be, but there has previously been an amount upwards of 25 million kroner, while the rent payment should also be four million kroner."

This one claims approx £3m permanent fee and a loan fee of £500k.

That sounds well within our budget.

I like one of the replies...

"Real good little club for him, they scouted him with an algorithm"
Unlikely. His stats seem unremarkable. I would say he's more likely been put our way by a trusted agent and is well known to the Danish contingent at the club.

Why would the amount be shown in Kroner, and not Euros?

Danish, I was not aware of that, thought it was from Genoa. Thanks for info.

As my learned friend above said, the article is Danish, so they converted the currency to their own to give it more meaning to the Danish readers.

If he has passed the ‘no dickheads’ test then he will undoubtedly prefer Brentford to NUFC!

Has he moved from France to Italy then? 🤭
TGV Paris to Nice = 6h, rental car to Genoa = 2h.

I think he has a whole network of scouts, so that probably covers Italy.

Apologies, growing up with the Hounslow loop line and North Circular traffic doesn't lend itself to broadening my horizons 😂

It'll be his performances with Bordeaux in Ligue 1 that will have put him on our radar. Those stats look good.

Let’s hope there’s other targets but 24 hours left . I’ll be surprised if anyone comes in now .

Oh well. Guess we'll have to make do with what we've got. Not done too bad so far.
Agreed. Roerslev and Zamburek will get more playing time. Norgaard and Marcondes should be back very soon and hopefully Racic will be in contention soon to plug our lack of Centre back cover.

We are established as one of the most progressive clubs in Britain (perhaps in Europe). What more can we do?

Well you never know, still a day left, and they may have another iron in the fire. If something has already been part negotiated it could still be done. Perhaps McFarland is already back in his car heading back into France. We can but hope!

What has changed? A player we were linked with on Twitter is now linked with a move to another club; that doesn't mean any real targets are less.

Reading between the lines of various tweets on this it seems copenhagen have agreed terms with Lerager but not entirely clear if they’ve agreed a fee with Genoa or whether we’ve also agreed fee/terms with Genoa and player. May still be life in this one yet..

According to what i have read this morning in the danish papers, FCK and Lucas has agreed on a deal. But they have not made a deal with Genoa yet. It appears that it is the same with Brentford. The deal with Lucas has been made, butthe difficulty is the agreement with Genoa. Propably we are trying a loan deal in the first hand with a option to bey, where FCK wants to buy.
