The ridiculous amount of Bees fans that applauded Josh Douglas as he lurched on with something apparently stick up his jacksy.
He behaved atrociously towards the end of his career and ruined Jota yet still some "fans" cheered him.

What is that about?

He had a little kick out at Woods near the end too, did remind me of Jota incident last season.

Douglas is so past it he wouldn't get near our team now. Ipswich are welcome to him.

Noticed at the end that he shook hands with most but blanked KK.

I know people are entitled to their own opinion, but those that applauded him need to take a look at themselves.

The Ipswich fans singing something like 'He'll break all your legs, Lukey Hyam, he'll break all your legs'.

Bunch of *****.

I particularly the bit where the mutants chanted w***** at Egan after the ball hit him in the face. That turned out well!

So 12 months ago I had a problem with some Bees fans cheering our ex captain as he entered the fray after he'd left us in disgrace.
He broke the leg of a player who he didn't get on with or like and showed no remorse.
A year later he struts on and some Bees fans are standing up and applauding, please someone justify ?

When you say he left in disgrace, is it possible that he was in disagreement with the drop in standards when Dijkhuizen came in (where that downturn is a fact substantiated by Benham), or do you know something else? Disrespect towards managers shouldn't be tolerated but, if that was the reason, clearly it was something that he wasn't alone in being concerned about (if that was indeed the reason).

I'm just speculating, but most posts seem to be of a similar guesswork nature unless anyone is genuinely ITK?

It's late and I've had a beer but I don't think I'm revealing too many secrets if I suggest that he fell out with the previous coach and publicly showed contempt for the owner.
The new Dutch coach insisted on taking him to Portugal to make up his own mind and from what I've heard he was very disruptive and the the Dutchmen decided he was indeed a c*** and wanted him gone.

I think if you really wanted proof others closer to the players will confirm this is close to the truth.

You've had a beer and it would seem that someone decided that everyone should have lots of beers in Portugal.....

Heard a few 'We shouldn't be losing to teams like Brentford' type comments from Ipswich fans coming out of the ground. SIGH.

A part of me enjoys going under the radar and being treated like a small fish but the other part of me wishes we got a bit more respect now considering we're in our third Championship season and finished 5th and 9th.

Listening with barely muted fury and frustration to a gentleman who has been watching the Bees for years and really should know better spout off and pontificate at great length about how our owner needs to put some money into the club and get us some better players. He did not want to hear the truth.

Because they're nobby fans. They can't see how we've performed the last few seasons, at their expense aswell.

I said this a while back that there are way too many at BFC but was told by many let them " support " the how They want.

Yesterday before the game in the Inverness , a mate of mine was going on about how he's already seeing splits between fans, and that's people he's known for years and that he's going to give up explaining it all over again. I get what he means and agree with him but these people, new and long term fans, old and new are so miserable spouting their " facts " , they were even saying MB is putting more money into FCM :banghead: , it's toxic and as gets in the way of us in the real world who are enjoying where we are, where we want to go and how we intend to get there. I'm trying to love it.

Oh well only , only 40 something games to go.

Yes, the FCM bit - Benham is giving all the money from Brentford transfers etc to them comment - I've heard already. Quite incredible really.

I've also heard people say he should sell up and let new investors take over, lol. Any one for a new Chinese or Middle Eastern owner?!

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that my bloke yesterday suggested that MB should stand aside for a new foreign owner whose investment would ensure that we became a real power in the game!!

That was the sort of thing that fans of other First Division fans used to say about Ipswich when Alf Ramsey first got Ipswich into the First Division. Until those days Ipswich had been a pretty lowly club and certainly minnows when Brentford were so successful in the 1930s.
