Some very ruffled feathers already in reply to that tweet! I really hope Fosu gets a chance if Canos continues to struggle..

It’s is simply rearranging the deckchairs and I suspect the medical team have as much influence in picking the team at the moment as TF.

He is sharing the minutes around to try and even up the workload otherwise we risk even more injuries.

I'm not, it's clear Frank is having to rotate the midfield 3 with, now, only 4 player to pick from. Marcondes has played the least games lately so in theory should be fresher. Jensen and JDS the most (add in international games and travel as well for those 2) which is why Josh came off midweek and Jensen starts on the bench today.

Also maybe Luton's approach in the wet windy weather might not be the ideal setting for Jensen in the middle?

Yep. It’s all a bit frustrating but I suspect a lot of teams are having to do similar. Beginning to wonder if the cup run means we’re going to be a victim of our own success

Thought this game would have been made for Jensen to dictate from midfield. Anyhow let’s go for it lads!

I'm not in on this Canos debate at all, but it screams of man management from TF to me, the ultimate gesture of arm around the shoulder, "I believe in you!".
Exactly. Big call from TF. Sergi only has himself to blame if he doesn’t grab the (very lucky) chance.

Understandable. Canos's 30 minute cameo on Tuesday is rewarded with a starting place today. Go figure.
I doubt he'll be asked to see the game out when he's starting...

Jensen is clearly struggling with a niggling injury. He would not have been left out otherwise. Ghoddos is probably still not up to two games a week. There's a logic to it, but logic is not a word that explains much of what goes on in Twitterland!

The cup QF is more than a month away and the run to get there helped to get a lot of new/fringe players a lot of good playing experience in the team against strong opposition. Even if we’d gone out in the first round we’d still now be facing 3 games a week and needing to manage the squad. Except several of the players we’ll need would have come into this spell without having played a first team game.

I hope this is the day that a couple of these players turn a corner. I must admit, it’s not a line up that fills me with confidence but let’s see.

I don't feel like watching this now. Bring on another lockdown until our players are fit.

At least with Sergi you can guarantee he'll give 100%. Would rather have that in the team than a Dele Alli type character that can't get himself up for it.

Not sure if I've ever been as angry as some fans clearly are now..... before the game has even kicked off!

I'm not sure what Fosu is doing wrong to get 0 starts and 3 sub appearances in the league so far - but I don't watch training every day.

It's a strong team anyway, and we have Jensen , Forss, Ghoddos and Fosu as options to come on! Eff me people, I doubt there is a club in the Championship who wouldn't give their right arm to have that team.

A bit surprised Canos for Ghoddos
Maybe we should refresh our memories of Bananas post which although it was about substitutes, applies to the selection of the first eleven also.

Like what do we know?

I'm surprised to see Marcondes starting, especially given Jensen's form. As for Canos, I like and feel for him, so I hope he comes good today. There have been brief times in his career for us when he's looked likely to become an important player, but for one reason or another it hasn't happened andtime is running out.

Canos is 23 and probably 5 years from his peak. Time is not running out.
