AFC Wimbeedon... Makes sense though, isn't getting in the starting lineup with the three that we have and we also have Racic if any one of them were to pick up an injury.

Perfect, definitely at that age now where he needs to be playing regularly if he's to progress, which just wouldn't happen here at the moment as he's arguably 5th choice.

He's such a beast for his age though, I think he'll slot into League One just fine.

They had a defender on loan who went back to Rochdale
They have a defender who is out for 4 months

They play 3 at back

So he should play every week !!!

Hopefully, it's what he needs at this stage of his career. An excellent move all round imo.

I think Racic is the better of the two anyway so happy with that! Also Kane O'Connor and Larsen look v promising so we're well covered..

I think this is an excellent move for him. He's physically well suited to battling in L1 and regular games will return him ready to go for us.

I genuinely think this could keep them up, their only hope previously was that we didn't recall Forss. If we're going to have a 'partnership' of sorts, it could benefit us to have them stay in League One.

Good for us and him, Forss looks to be enjoying his time at Wimbledon, so win win all round.

aha, checkmate!

He's been up against old pro's versus Wigan, stood up to Derby, given a cheap goal away at Swansea, relaxed against Ipswich, poor at Reading, been battered by Millwall and elbowed by Leeds – he doesn't need to go on loan to a lower league now, he's fully indoctrinated into the first team squad.
(when you were arguing with me when i said he needs to go out on loan to continue his progress, back in April) :D

Let's not forget though he missed the entire pre-season and the first month or so of the regular season!

Good man-management to put two young players out to the same team; bit like giving a racehorse a Shetland pony for company.

The Wimbledon online forum is barely usable but I've managed to glean from there that they are rather pleased with his debut. He helped them to keep a clean sheet at home to Peterborough.

Although if you watched the highlights to be fair, the clean sheet was more through luck than judgement!

Well, must admit I'd always thought Mads was behind Racic and surprised to see the latter go out on loan but that was an outstanding performance tonight against a very strong attacking force. That loan at Wimbledon seems to have really helped him make a step up.. Thought he was very strong, won everything in the air, positioned himself well and used the ball sensibly. Only got beaten the once when he was outmuscled. Great stuff... !

I think he’s going to become a bit of a beast and those ICBM throws aren’t bad either!

I thought when watching him in a previous game that he looked to have slimmed down,
He has speeded up too. Really good to see.
He could very well provide competition to Ethan this year as could Goode to Pontus . Hopefully when transfer window closes we have at least two players actively vying for each position in the team. For that to happen immediately we would though need some additional cover at right back unless Roerslev is expected to return next month

Agree with this, although I think he went to outmuscle him and Adams was just slightly too nippy for Mads to put his body on him.

Not sure I like the regression to long throw nonsense unless it's in the last 5 minutes and we're losing.

Yep, I was struck by how solid he was defensively. Not 10/10 by any means, but getting there. He still looks like a big kid trying to work out his body (probably cos that's what he is), and he's still a bit basic on the ball, but he's not gonna be the finished product without experience, and his main job is defending - he looks very good at it.
