I think he will have a lot of game time in the coming matches.
To develop as a player you need to play games regularly. Teams don’t loan players out just to gain fitness. In the last 4 league games he’s played 15 minutes.

I'm relating it to his value in the squad for this season. If we sign more players in January, maybe a loan's a good idea but we know already that we suffer from lack of depth and we know what this boy can do.

Wow. It occurs to me that Modric is exactly the right reference point for Bidstrup. And makes you realize what a superb talent we may have on our hands.

Different positions imo, Onyeka’s more of an 8 whereas Bidstrup appears more suited in Norgaard’s role as a 6.

And if we are going to be sustainably successful over a multiple seasons we will be selling players like Norgaard. I’d hope not until 2023 with a decision to keep the current squad intact as far as possible for 2 PL seasons to establish and not be destabilised.
For instance we may plan to sell Raya and allow Pontus to leave in 22, then be able to bear Toney and Norgaard going the following season but not to lose and replace that entire central spine in one window. We’ve already recruited at CB and GK for that. Bidstrup grows into the CDM role next season alongside Janelt (maybe the big money offer for CN comes in January after a strong Qatar). And so on.

Why would we do that? Roerslev's been doing really well? Would make more sense to give Janelt a break as Mads would do really well in his role IMHO..
6 month loan in the championship would I him a lot of good. Ready next season then to challenge for a spot in 1st 11.

Played a part in their first goal. He's fine going forward, but a little slow reacting when defending. There's nothing slow about Mads Bidstrup.

Agree with that Roerslev has done really well and starting to show the confidence to get forward more. I think he's been thrust into the role sooner than expected owing to injury etc but I really think the lad is a good prospect at this level.

He is not perfect I agree, no-one is, but IMO he is ready now, more than ready. Fantastic player and I would like to see more of him.

I think I'd prefer a defender in a defensive position, speed isn't everything. If anything, we know Canós has a turn of speed but he's not got a defensive mind-set.

I think Bidstrup might just have the defensive mindset that others lack. He is also very mobile and is a good passer of the ball.

Why would I you do that. We already have Canos playing out of position on the other wing. Opposition would have a field day. Mads B is a CM keep him there.

Once we've got Onyeka and Dasilva back and (fingers crossed) Eriksen, we will have 8 more experienced central midfielders than Bidstrup. I can't see how that much competition is going to lead to many appearances this season for him, so a loan would be perfect to give him some regular match experience, which is the main thing he needs at this stage of his development IMO.

Off on loan to FCN. Bit of a shame as I think he’s got loads to offer and would no doubt have started and impressed v Everton. Hopefully he’ll get a good run of games there though and will be back to fight for a starting spot next season
Good move. Needs as many first team starts as possible at this stage in his career. He's clearly got lots of potential and has put in a decent showing whenever he's played for us, but this move should benefit all parties.
With CE joining and JDS getting back to full fitness, MB would have had fewer opportunities to play for us the second half of the season.

As said in the other thread by someone else, I think I'd have preferred an English Championship loan if one available.
Think the physicality of the English game would toughen him up a bit more and got him used to Championship football if god forbid...

Quality player with a big future and this will do him well.
With the return of FTT from Afcon and the incoming Eriksen, plus returning JDS, central midfield is one area we have a large stockpile of players in so relaxed about this one.

He's 20; he needs development rather than toughening up. I'm sure his BFC development plan will be clearly understood by Flemming Pedersen and he'll get more quality minutes in a first-team environment there than in any Football League club. It may also more clearly identify his best position for the future.

A good move all round. What is there not to like as it benefits all parties. Just looking at the PL minutes he played he is not a starter this season but this lad is a big prospect for us and this move will further develop him and I expect will be pushing for a starting place next season.

With janelt norgaard baptiste and Jensen currently, plus dasilva retuning and most likely eriksen, he probably would be 7th choice so no surprise.
I like him and think he has a lot to offer. Maybe best move right now though
