That's fitness, not learning. I don't think we can lose him for the rest of the season for that.To play 90 minutes every week? Instead of 10 minutes this week and maybe 10 minutes the week after

To develop as a player you need to play games regularly. Teams don’t loan players out just to gain fitness. In the last 4 league games he’s played 15 minutes. That's fitness, not learning. I don't think we can lose him for the rest of the season for that.
I'm relating it to his value in the squad for this season. If we sign more players in January, maybe a loan's a good idea but we know already that we suffer from lack of depth and we know what this boy can do.To develop as a player you need to play games regularly. possible Onyeka replacement full stop....Possible Onyeka replacement while he’s away on African Cup
We aren’t getting rid of a 23 year old we spent 9 million on after 6 monthspossible Onyeka replacement full stop....
Wow. It occurs to me that Modric is exactly the right reference point for Bidstrup. And makes you realize what a superb talent we may have on our hands. He looks like a great little press breaker to me. A little like a young Modric: busy, little darting runs, picks nice passes.
Looking forward to him getting more game time. Might be time to say bye to someone else, though… that midfield is really starting to get congested…
Maybe not, but he's going to find it increasingly difficult to get game timeWe aren’t getting rid of a 23 year old we spent 9 million on after 6 months
Different positions imo, Onyeka’s more of an 8 whereas Bidstrup appears more suited in Norgaard’s role as a 6.Maybe not, but he's going to find it increasingly difficult to get game time
And if we are going to be sustainably successful over a multiple seasons we will be selling players like Norgaard. I’d hope not until 2023 with a decision to keep the current squad intact as far as possible for 2 PL seasons to establish and not be destabilised.Different positions imo, Onyeka’s more of an 8 whereas Bidstrup appears more suited in Norgaard’s role as a 6.
I think we have determined that in current formation it’s a case ideally of Norgaard/Jensen or bidstrup then for aggression in middle of park janelt or oneyka and then to bring ball forward and support forwards Baptiste or GhoddosAnd if we are going to be sustainably successful over a multiple seasons we will be selling players like Norgaard. For instance we may plan to sell Raya and allow Pontus to leave in 22, then be able to bear Toney and Norgaard going the following season but not to lose and replace that entire central spine in one window. We’ve already recruited at CB and GK for that. Bidstrup grows into the CDM role next season alongside Janelt (maybe the big money offer for CN comes in January after a strong Qatar). And so on.
Why would we do that? Roerslev's been doing really well? Would make more sense to give Janelt a break as Mads would do really well in his role IMHO..It's a shame this chap is kicking his heels on the bench. I wonder if he could be tried at right fullback to give Mads Roerslev a break?
6 month loan in the championship would I him a lot of good. Ready next season then to challenge for a spot in 1st 11.It's a shame this chap is kicking his heels on the bench. I wonder if he could be tried at right fullback to give Mads Roerslev a break?
Played a part in their first goal. He's fine going forward, but a little slow reacting when defending. There's nothing slow about Mads Bidstrup. Why would we do that? Roerslev's been doing really well? Would make more sense to give Janelt a break as Mads would do really well in his role IMHO..
Agree with that Roerslev has done really well and starting to show the confidence to get forward more. I think he's been thrust into the role sooner than expected owing to injury etc but I really think the lad is a good prospect at this level. Why would we do that? Roerslev's been doing really well? he's challenging now6 month loan in the championship would I him a lot of good. Ready next season then to challenge for a spot in 1st 11.
I think I'd prefer a defender in a defensive position, speed isn't everything. If anything, we know Canós has a turn of speed but he's not got a defensive mind-set.Played a part in their first goal. I think Bidstrup might just have the defensive mindset that others lack. He is also very mobile and is a good passer of the ball.I think I'd prefer a defender in a defensive position, speed isn't everything. If anything, we know Canós has a turn of speed but he's not got a defensive mind-set.
Why would I you do that. We already have Canos playing out of position on the other wing. Opposition would have a field day. Mads B is a CM keep him there. It's a shame this chap is kicking his heels on the bench. I wonder if he could be tried at right fullback to give Mads Roerslev a break?
It’s not his natural position. We can’t blood players in a position that isn’t theirs and then potentially kill his confidence.I think Bidstrup might just have the defensive mindset that others lack. He is also very mobile and is a good passer of the ball.
But that's just it he's not there is he. A good player left kicking his heelsWhy would I you do that. We already have Canos playing out of position on the other wing. Opposition would have a field day. Mads B is a CM keep him there.
Let’s try him in goal thenBut that's just it he's not there is he. A good player left kicking his heels
You might as wellLet’s try him in goal then![]()
...........would rather him replace Jensen...............It's a shame this chap is kicking his heels on the bench. I wonder if he could be tried at right fullback to give Mads Roerslev a break?
Would I Him - is that the little baby like bloke from The Voice?6 month loan in the championship would I him a lot of good. Ready next season then to challenge for a spot in 1st 11.
Instead of VJ given that's his more natural position?...........would rather him replace Jensen...............
I think eventually he'll replace Janelt. More mobile and better on the ball, just lacks that bit of experience............would rather him replace Jensen...............
Once we've got Onyeka and Dasilva back and (fingers crossed) Eriksen, we will have 8 more experienced central midfielders than Bidstrup. I can't see how that much competition is going to lead to many appearances this season for him, so a loan would be perfect to give him some regular match experience, which is the main thing he needs at this stage of his development IMO.Talk of him going out on loan is madness he is knocking at the door of the starting 11.
I thought exactly the same, not just in terms of prepping him to play for us but also increasing his market value if we end up selling him. I guess we’ll have to trust management have got a master plan.As said in the other thread by someone else, I think I'd have preferred an English Championship loan if one available.
Think the physicality of the English game would toughen him up a bit more and got him used to Championship football if god forbid...
He's 20; he needs development rather than toughening up. I'm sure his BFC development plan will be clearly understood by Flemming Pedersen and he'll get more quality minutes in a first-team environment there than in any Football League club. It may also more clearly identify his best position for the future. As said in the other thread by someone else, I think I'd have preferred an English Championship loan if one available.

Why would anyone not trust that management know what they’re doing?I thought exactly the same, not just in terms of prepping him to play for us but also increasing his market value if we end up selling him. I guess we’ll have to trust management have got a master plan.
... and there are people on Twitter who treat them as gospel.I see FLW have just published this morning that he may be going to Blackburn...a full day after he has gone to Denmark! The guy who wrote that is stealing a living!
If he had done, would he have been “moving Mads”Does he say F### Brentford?
Jeg er pisse glad for dig.Well, I’m going to use “pisse glad” as my words of the window…
