The Jays have just swept the Tigers, now bring on Cleveland. If I were a Yankee fan of the Jays I would say this. Be afraid be very afraid, we could go all the way.

I'm no great fan of the Braves, but they've always been good at rebuilding and that is what they are doing now.
A couple more seasons and they'll be back in the race.

The loser in the AL East race is pretty much guaranteed a wild card, and I'd make them favourites in a one game match up with either the Rangers or the Twins. Angels have truly gone south for near on a month now, can they get back on track before it's too late?

Pirates v Cubs as a wild-card one game play-off will be well worth watching.

Good home stand from the Jays (7-2), but starting today on the road against Boston (3) and the Yankees (4). The outcome of these games could well define the Jays season

Mets come from 6 runs down to defeat the Nationals 8-7 in the battle for the NL East.
It still seems like the 3 best sides in the National League are all in the Central division. The Chicago Cubs may only be a wildcard this season, but next year they will likely have acquired some strong starting pitching via the free agent market to complement their talented young position players: Addison Russell, Anthony Rizzo, Kris Bryant. All in all, I'd say it's bad news if you are the Cincinnatti Reds or the Milwaukee Brewers.

Mets number is 12.
Yoenis Cespedes is hitting home runs at such an alarming rate, I'm worried he might be taking something illegal. If he kept it up over a full season, he'd hit 60+ homers.
Of course, it goes without saying that the Wilpons will fail to sign him to a permanent deal once the season is over.

Barring embarrassing end of season collapses, we pretty much know who the NL post-season sides will be, it's just a question of which of the Cards and Pirates will meet the Cubs in a one-off play-off game.

The usual is six games a week, day off usually Monday or Thursday.
Mets magic number is down to five now, they really are not playing well.
As it stands, Dodgers have home field advantage over the Mets, though they do have four games to come against their bogey side, the Giants.
NL Championship game should be between winners of Dodgers v Mets on the one hand and Cardinals v winnners of Cubs/Pirates.

Some teams have a large 'away' support but that's mainly down to them having relocated to the host city. There isn't really a massive culture of doing road games but fans will do it on occasion and combine it with a trip away.
The most away fans I've ever seen at a game I've actually been at was the Red Sox at LA a few years back. There must've been 2,000 Boston fans there though it's difficult to tell because there's obviously no segregation.
I was watching a Chicago Cubs game on TV a couple of Fridays ago and the stadium was parked with Texas Longhorns college football fans who'd travelled from Texas to see the Longhorns play at the nearby-ish Notre Dame the next day.
