Had to vote for Macca. Contributed a trademark crunching tackle, some great forward runs and some neat passes and flicks in the relatively short time he was on the pitch. He claimed the captains armband and quickly and effectively managed the re-organising of the lineup when Harlee departed. He also avoided a yellow card.
Honourable mentions for Nico and Josh Clarke (I thought he played well)
I thought Nico put in a real shift; he's the only midfielder we have who puts in the mileage all over the pitch (although AJ might have something to say about that). A warm Champagne moment was him pressing high, all over their right back, getting the ball, losing the ball, not giving up and coming away with the ball in the end, with their RB moaning to the ref.
No-one excelled, but I've gone for Harlee. Wouldn't blame him for the penalty and 2nd yellow - though the incident that got his first card might have been risky: ref gave a yellow to him and the opponent, but if the ref felt one of them was the initial aggressor then it would have been a penalty or free kick to us... I think the ref just gave a dropped ball to avoid having to decide who started it
Canos was good in patches, but slow to react leading to the free kick for the first goal and gave Field little or no support all game. Jota also made some good runs, but too often ran into mid-pitch where Blackburn had numbers to block him
Nico was competitive throughout and Alan Mc showed he still cared
