If anyone is travelling to Brentford from the South on Wednesday, be aware that the last train home leaves Kew at 2156. So, no chance basically.
Horsham is okay, but involves a change at East Croydon.Trainline showing later trains to Horsham or is this wrong. Was going to drive to Horsham.

The main problem is SWR have a new timetable from Monday and have withdrawn their entire fleet of 456 trains.

SWR to lose thousands of seats as old trains removed for good in new timetable
A train shortage and Covid problems are set to cause massive disruption for South Western Railway passengerswww.mylondon.news
Trainspotter alertIs there anyone on here connected with SWR who might be able to explain why they’re keeping the 455s? They were built in 1982 and should have been replaced by the 701s a year or so ago I thought?

Sounds about right for SWR....For a non-trainspotter, that article seemed mental. A new train now won't be operational until later in thd year, so they've decided to withdraw an old train??

Please reconsider this post. It smells of the type of conversation someone would have while travelling to the Cottage with a Victoria spongeIs there anyone on here connected with SWR who might be able to explain why they’re keeping the 455s? Phwoar! What a pairA pair of 455s photographed just now at Waterloo (probably platform 14, for Dorking and/or Guildford), pondering your post.

It will come down to considerations such as the cost of leasing. If they are shorter trains then what with less demand (covid) SWR may consider that fewer coaches are required for the remainder of this year.Is there anyone on here connected with SWR who might be able to explain why they’re keeping the 455s? I had this issue for Arsenal game. I got the train up from Yeovil then got a message saying my train home had been cancelled spent whole second half worrying about that than watching the game. In the end despite National rail and every other side saying it had been cancelled they ran it in the end. Me and my brother the only two on the joinery after Salisbury lolI am a bit concerned that any promised late train back Salisbury way may not materialise.
Thank you Plymouth Bee. For those of us going home on the Reading Line, and wanting to avoid Kew Bridge station it will have to be a swift walk to Richmond as the last train for stations past Virginia Water leaves at 23.06SWR are introducing a temporary timetable on Monday.
