Eddie Howe is an excellent manager with a very good backroom.

If they give him time he will do well imho

I would have agreed with you three years ago but felt his last 18 months- 2 years at Bournemouth he spent a fortune on players that didn’t deliver and his transfer dealings was one of the reasons they got relegated.

Let’s see how he gets on. But his football philosophy should be admired and he did keep Bournemouth up for longer than most thought.

TBF he wasn't helped out by Fraser effectively going on strike when the lg resumed after the first lockdown and the pitiful effort Joshua King put in in those matches.

(Should make for an interesting reunion).

True say but he did also give us £12m for Mepham :)

Quite a downbeat press conference interview with Farke. As good as said said that if the club felt someone can come in and do a better job than him then he would willingly step aside. If they lose to us tomorrow I think he will be gone by next week.

Let’s hope he’s gone, I think It will be an emotional roller coaster tomorrow and anything but easy. If we win we’ll be fine

International Break is the perfect time to get shot of a struggling manager.

5th loss in a row for Dean Smith, wonder if he'll be gone soon?

I quite liked him saying if their bus driver was in charge from the start of the season he wouldn’t have got many less points than himself.

Farke’s first ten games this season give a similar set of results to Frank’s first ten as our manager…

Isn't there a Thread somewhere about opposition managers that were sacked after we plated them?

In a weird sense, I thought Norwich would be relegated after we played them today. I am almost certain they will take one of the relegation places now. However, Farke record in the Premier League is piss poor but I don't know what Norwich really stand for as they are quite happy to sell their best player straight away after winning the league last season and have been content to be a yo-yo club whilst banking in all the cash.

I wonder what the odds were on Norwich going through this season winless, and if anybody had placed a bet on it.

Now is the time? After their first win of the season? They looked like a reasonable side today!

Before an international break, before January. Given his stints in the Premier League they probably feel like he is never going to do much better so change. I think it is harsh, but also understandable. Not sure they'll do wildly better without him. Many of the supporters seem to feel it is the right move.

We made them look good in the first half. They offered nothing second half until we decided to play Goode upfront. They are certs to go down. I stick my neck out now and say we will beat them at Carrow Road.

One of our old friends worth a mention this week from FA Cup Rd 1, permanent crisis club Sunderland were favoured with a home draw against struggling Mansfield.
Losing 0-1 at half time, Little Lee Johnson hooked 4 (four) players at the break!!!!

It didn’t help, Sunderland lost 0-1…..
You can only imagine what it’s done for Head Coach / player relations…..in at least 4 cases…..
Reassuring for the Board to know there’s a steady hand on the tiller……

…..watch this space….

Any international break is.
Sure but the first couple are often a bit early in the season for sackings.

This one is 10-15 games in (depending on league) and the last one before March so prime time to make changes.

Suspect Newcastle were probably always waiting until now to bring in their man as well.

Obviously predecided, and no doubt the new bloke is on his way. Rumblings out east have been gradually getting louder, despite appreciation for Farke’s overall contribution. Seems the board have decided, much like OGS at MU, that he can’t get a tune out of more expensive instruments.

Lampard coming in at Norwich apparently. I’m sure the press will be delighted that they’ve got their golden boy back.

I think you are right that he was aware this was his last game. I wasn't there, but the Sky reporter commented that when Norwich scored their first goal he showed no reaction, just stood there with his hands in is pockets.

I think getting sacked after losing to us was a thing for a while. Getting sacked after beating us is possibly a first!

Eddie Howe is an excellent manager with a very good backroom.

If they give him time he will do well imho
I am not 100% he will take the job Nick.
Eddie will want to run the show with his backroom team.
He wants his scouts and his say over transfers.
It's how he worked at Bournemouth.
Not many clubs will give him what he wants that fit his ego.
And it his ego that drives Eddie Howe on.
