So far this season you could have picked up 360 points. So 540 TAPs was the threshold for a Manchester United ticket at the Sheffield Wednesday game at Griffin Park. I'm pretty sure therefore that just 1.5 seasons of being a Bees fan will get you a ticket for Man United at home. As long as you're doing nothing else today at 2pm and you get lucky with the ticketing sales so that it doesn't drop your seats into the void.

Advice to GPGers.
  • Pray to your nearest deity
  • Don't click on saved card (suspect that's dangerous)
  • Enter card details CAREFULLY.
  • Make sure you enter the postcode if it is required (can appear next to CCV number)
  • DO NOT RUSH THE PAYMENT PHASE - you have plenty of time to complete the purchase.

Remember you will most probably have ONE SHOT at getting this right.

Not showing for me

The ticket system is a complete and utter joke. I've added my brother who has more TAPs than me to my friends list. Magically he's not in the drop down when I try and select his name. I then add again and it says he's already in my list.........now no tickets showing up at all and getting an error screen

Didn’t appear to be fast fingers today, just learnt someone has brought tickets just now and he noted plenty available especially in East/ North Stand.

Not necessarily. Those in this current window are NOT guaranteed a ticket. So it could (should!) sell-out in this window.
I think they'll be plenty left in this window, it's the one on Monday where it will be carnage!

I thought I saw that 50% of tickets for cat A games were held back for the 'free for all' for all members....not sure if read it correctly though :)

We are in Window 2 where "we would expect demand to be greater than supply"....

  • Window 1
    • Members meeting the TAPs threshold will have a four-day window to purchase. This will be a guaranteed opportunity to buy for those Members.
  • Window 2
    • Any remaining tickets from this TAPs-based allocation will be made available to supporters at a lower TAPs threshold. These fans will have a three-day window to purchase, but they will be subject to availability, and we would expect demand to be greater than supply.

That's Window 3. Which will also be carnage as every Manchester United fan within a 25 mile radius wants a ticket.

Was almost too easy today.
Although I expect absolute carnage for the "straggler ticket" in our group next week. Ah well, always the exchange if not.

Perhaps I should have gone to a pre-season warm-up match too, easier to achieve...
Hard to predict how many points will be needed. We’re all learning. I suspect if we’re still in the PL next season’s friendlies and early Carabao games will get even bigger attendances!

Still no sell out and tickets still available. A bit surprising as it is United.

However, my theory and from my experience is has been relatively easier for loyal Brentford fans with TAPs to get tickets for Cat A games rather than Cat B games where it is straight away sold to all members. Is it a coincidence that the atmosphere has been far better when we have played Cat A games (I take they have all been late kick offs)?

I think I was the only person in my row against Leicester that sang Hey Jude at the start of the game and stayed at the final whistle to applaud the players off.

Probably right about the average number of TAPs held by members attending Cat B games compared to Cat A. But with 11k STs I’d have thought and hoped that would make little difference. Most of West stand is STs and it has been much louder for Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal than for Leicester and Brighton.

Ah yes. So this is standard practice. I somehow keep forgetting that our more loyal fans can't buy tickets at 2pm and therefore have to enter the bun fight.

So all the Man U fans that are members can pile in, just as all the other big boys fans have.

The tickets allocated to TAPS thresholds were on sale for atleast a day I thought. Might not of got the seat you wanted if you weren't buying at 2pm, but should've got a ticket if they wanted one.
The bigger trouble is Cat B games or wanting/needing to sit with members without as many points. Although I'm not sure how the second point can be helped in a fair way.

A little bird told me they have been allocated the lowest amount of tickets we can give on Police advice
We have to provide 10% of capacity. Having 1,700 won't be a challenge given that everywhere else they will take 3,000.

Ok, I was told it had been reduced on Police advice but I stand corrected
I've not heard that, but not sure what "advice" police can issue when they take 3,000 to every other London ground.

Are the 100 Box Office seats in a specific stand or do you get a choice?

Anyone bought from there?

2 tickets secured.

couldn’t care less where they are, I just scrambled to get them.

mrs fuming I’ve been on the laptop on our honeymoon, but as the sun sets in the Maldives, I am buzzing to have tickets to see Pontus have Ronaldo in his pocket and Brentford beat the mancs at home, with ole getting sacked.
