Not bad. Very entertaining for a 0-0, both teams created loads of chances, could've been 4-4 instead. To be honest, both teams were fairly crap defensively. Ours was all over the place in 1st 30 mins, they hd 3 VERY clearcut chances that should have gone in, but Viney and Hunt had good opportunities as well. We should've had a pen, disgraceful ref all night.

Great fun from the Bees followiing.

Interested to know if we created many chances ?
Lots of ramblings from fellow Bees fans asking for a Forward to be purchased but if we ain't creating that many chances, maybe we need a decent midfielder or winger aswell.

The tannoy announcer said "away attendance 129" which drew laughs from the home fans...followed by "and an overall attendance of 3,300" which drew A LOT of laughs from us!!

IS THAT ALL YOU HAVE AT HOME?!!!!!

Yeah, agree with that, we would've had a lot more than that if it were on a Saturday. Rest assured tho, the 129 of us made ourselves heard and made themselves proud!! There were only 1 set of fans that could be heard, and it was us.

Although David Michael and 2 others (nocoat?) got thrown out for no reason  seemed very out of order, they were standing at the front of the stand (in space between pitch and seats), singing a lot but not threatening, all pro-Bees...then 4 stewards forcefully took them out!! For no reason!! F*cking disgrace. Even if they were drunk (as was mentioned), how much trouble would've been caused by THREE of them?!? For Christs' sake, they went 300 miles (round trip) on a Tuesday nite to support their team but GOT THROWN OUT AFTER 5 MINS!! The thing that got me was the stewards made no attempt to say "'scuse us lads, mind sittin down to watch the game?" but just got rid of 'em. Very out of order, considering they would've moved if they'd been given a chance!!

Mansfield gave us a few early problems on a FREEZING night in the Midlands. As the first half progressed we came into it and created some good chances which were squandered and the half ended honours even.

Second half we had a majority of the chances, playing good football in difficult circumstances.

One particularly good move revolving around Vine led to a good chance squandered, Vine shot wide from a tightish angle, Hunt tried a lob which would have been spectacular had it gone in - it didn't and looked a tame back pass!

Two good shouts for penalties. First Kev pushed ball past 'keeper and said 'keeper took his trailing leg. Result? Inept ref booked Kev for diving!

Second, Hunt past last defender and tackled two-footed from behind. Result? ref bottled it again.

First half lino missed every Mansfield offside, second half he pulled us up even when players clearly onside.

Ref praised? Forget it! He was clearly overawed by the prestigious 'new' Field Mill and gave us nothing all night. the only surprise was that he did not manufacture a penalty for the home siode as Smithy looked unbeatable between the sticks.

As for the ejected Bees fans. well words fail me. They were doing nothing but chanting and having a few jokes with fellow Bees in rows further back. Stewards straight in, no chat just out. Disgraceful.

Good to get back to Camberley at 12.05 am to thaw out and laugh at Brighton tumbling down to Division Two at a rate of knots!!

Hate to say this but it looked a definite DIVE by o'conner, to me he was looking for it before he even touched the ball. As for Hunty yes the ref got that one WRONG!

overall solid performance frm Marshall
Sonko bit dodgy at times but played well
Sommer is not a full back and is too slow
Dobbo started off poor but got a bit better.

bloody cold tho

Bloody cold. Have only just re-discovered the feeling in my feet.

RE the "penalty" with Kev. Didn't mention it in above reports as I also thought it was a definate dive. Had a great view, was right down at the front, and he went over very very easily. Bit disappointed in Kev, didn't think he was that type of player. Still got MOTM tho.

It was probably a ploy so they all get thrown out and head off back to Hooters in Nottingham:D

Lots of positives to be taken from last night.

We matched Mansfield, and were better for large periods, the whole of the second half, but we could have been behind very early. The missed header from the cross by the little black guy was laughable.

I though O'Connor was fouled, he took it round the keeper, might have plyed it a touch far but was definately clipped. Thought it was a good tackle for the other one though.

Vine should have scored when he created the chance on the right side of the area, and Hunt should have done better with the lob, he had the time to carry on. He should also have scored when he went clear for the second penalty appeal.

Smith looked relatively untroubled at the back and we were dominant in midfield but again couldn't put away our chances, the story of our season.

Ref overall was useless too, and senior linesman must have left his glasses in the snow somewhere.

Pitch was pretty poor, walking outside I was very surprised that it was on as it was very icy, also freezing inside the ground, not sure I've been that cold at a game ever.

Good away support in song, if not in numbers but a quick re-arrangement wouldn't help, and neither would the weather.

Certainly 2 points lost overall, but we are one point nearer the 50 point mark, which is our first aim.

Sorry to bring this all up again but I've still got a bee in m,y bonnet about this one (pardon the pun).

Never in my life have I been so appallingly treated at a football match (even by Gold Range stewards!). Not only were the stewards arsey, they were plain rude, and we were thrown on our arse end for no reason. We weren't pissed (maybe a bit tipsy) and weren't even given the chance to stick up for ourselves or sit down! One bloke didn't even get to see the game, we just thrown out after paying £14 to get in!

Adding to that that the locals were a bit hostile and one of the local landlords was just rude and a pain in the arse, I hope Mansfield get relegated to the Northern League and never come back again. Either that or die a horrible, painful death, cos they deserve it for being such downright inbred scum.
