Very sad news reached us Saturday that Mark aged 53 had just passed away after an illness but never thought his life was in danger.Mark was a very well known face in the paddock and a very popular bloke his dad Bill sits next to me in the paddock.Poor Bill lost his wife only 2 weeks ago now lost his dear son who were very close. Will update when details of Funeral have been arranged as I’m sure there will be many of his friends will want to attend.

That sounds terrible, poor man and poor Dad, my stress levels are high at the moment but you read this and feel a fraud, RIP Mark and I wish his Dad all the best for some sort of recovery from such sad times.

Very sad to hear and no age to pass away
RIP Mark and condolences to his family and friends

I'm sure I've seen him about before. Would we be able to place the face to the name here

Very sad news.

RIP Mark and my thoughts are with Bill.

It was one year ago today that I lost my Mum and there hasn’t been a day when I haven’t thought about her.

Very sad news. Not sure I knew Mark other than to possibly say hello to as a fellow BFC fan. I will ask Westwing to describe Mark to me.

Thoughts are with his family and friends.

RIP

Awful to lose two of your nearest and dearest in such a short period of time. You couldn't even guess what Marks father Bill is going through.
RIP

Hi Bill

Found out who Mark was and you are right he was a very well known paddock face and although I didn't know him very well. Us younger Brickies lot all knew him as proper Brentford.

RIP Mark

Devastating news to hear before the game on Saturday. Mark was such a great and also unassuming bloke. Great memories of our away trips in the early 80's.. RIP

Can't believe that my mate has gone.He was just a good bloke.First meet Mark on the trips away on Pat Brown's coaches.Been close mates ever since. Some of the best times of my life were spent with Mark as we travelled home and away the season we got promoted.Jesus I could tell you some tales(but we were far to pissed to remember anything). He was just one of those blokes who was liked by everyone who met him.I still can't believe he won't be sitting next to me in the paddock or that I will never hear that laugh again. As has been said by others,I can't imagine what poor Bill is going through. I will keep you posted 're funeral arrangements. It would be great to have a big bees presence.....Until we meet again, sleep tight mate.X

As John says . over three decades home and away with Mark , some of the best times and most fun in our lives. Finally getting out of League one was massive to Mark and the rest of us, I'm so glad Mark saw us finally achieve it. Mark had been ill for a few weeks but was hopeful of getting back to normal ,his sudden death is so hard to believe .Mark was one of my very best friends . I'm totally gutted ,but I cant imagine how Dad Bill feels having lost Marks Mum eight days earlier. I'm going to miss him so much. RIP mate x

Really sorry for both you and Johnny M, everyone of course is rightly upset for family but it’s as bad for those losing a really good mate.
