I'm really saddened by this news. Maybe not the right time but Mark was, in my view, Brentfords 'top boy' in 80s, and for that reason will live in Brentford folklore. RIP.

Bill, i find this hard to believe if it's who i think it is.

Can't be much older than 50-odd?

Very sad.

Probably 53. Such sad news, seen him at Brentford for the past 30 years.

Truly shocked. Way too young.
Was he ill or was it sudden ?
Caught up with him last year in the KA but not bumped into him since.
A true Bee who put himself on the line many times for the cause.
RIP

RIP Mark.

Brentford legend and this is confirmed by the amount of BFC fans in the Inverness who were shocked by the news as they found out.

Early 50s is no age.

Thoughts with his family.

Was in the Inverness tonight when Fleet John told me this sad news. Was well aware that he he wasn't too good but didn't expect this today.
His absence has been noticeable this season, especially outside the Kings Arms.
Bricklayers coaches and all the fun and games, RIP, Brentford's "TopDog" Mark Sangster.

Only found out this morning this sad news as I left straight after the game yesterday. I was only speaking before the game yesterday to another gpger about Mark as we both new he hadn't been well, but to get this sad news is a shock. I knew Mark since we both started as apprentices at London Transport and recognised each other from Brentford, over the years we worked together and obviously saw each at football and I would like to think as a friend. My thoughts and condolences to Linda and the rest of the family and hope you are all strong at this time. Rip Mark

RIP Mark and my sincere condolences to Mark's family and friends.
I'm sure I knew who Mark was by sight, but I just can't picture him.
Sad news indeed.

Theres a few of us from the Brickies, who although we didn't know Mark very well, might want to pay our respects. If that is ok?

if it is family and close friends no problem Bill.

Can't make the 6th but how about in Mark's honour (and others) we do an annual 'ex Brickie' away game? None of us are getting younger.
