For a player that hasn't had any better offers through thick and thin lol. Nah, I know what you're saying - I would have thought twenty quid was fair enough. Twelve's a bit too cheap.

I still don't see why we couldn't open a few special voluntary twenty quid gates for those who want to contibute that much? I suggested this earlier in the thread but nobody bit. Anyone agree? Surely it would be easy enough to arrange :shrug:.

It was before my time, but didn't we do something along the same lines during the 1967 crisis, called 'The Golden Gate', where supporters paid a bit more if they wanted to to help the club? Or did I dream that?

Yeah. Couldn't agree more. Chelsea, Arsenal or Spurs would have been nice, but then what's so wrong with a bit of grass roots anyway?
