Brentford have signed Danish midfield player Mathias Jensen from Real Club Celta de Vigo for an undisclosed fee. Mathias completed a medical in Central London late last night, Tuesday 9 July, before signing his contract. The final paperwork was completed this afternoon and Mathias is officially a Brentford player, subject to international clearance. The 23-year-old has signed a four-year deal and there is a Club extension to extend that for an additional 12 months, until June 2024.

Above all, I’m happy to see they’ve upgraded from that chewed up Bic.

Next stop, fountain pen? Quill??

Four years plus an optional extra is quite a big statement I think
Quality signing.

Excited to see this guy. After Jansson this almost feels low key. Would be our marquee signing any other year!

Where’s all the money gone Benham?
Hopefully he can find £4.5m down one of his many sofas to match the alleged fee Spag Bologna were paying for that Danish kid Olsen, looks to be a seriously good talent

Another great signing. If we hang onto Maupay and Benrahma this will have been comfortably the best transfer window ever.

The goalkeeping looked shocking... But what I liked was he wasn't afraid to shoot from outside the box. And to be fair a lot of his shots were right in the corner.

Going by that YouTube clip I think his 'packing' statistics would have been very high. Someone who likes playing the long 'killer ball' will offer us something different. I wonder if we are going to be a bit more direct this season.

Looking forward to seeing him play. Looks a prospect and half. What is so pleasing is that we have got our main targets in early in the pre-season. No frantic last minute signings.

Thomas said a while back that Rob Rowan had most of this Summers signings lined up .Going forward from here may not be so good

Rob Rowan was clearly a special guy but Lee Dykes is highly regarded and is presumably managing the same team of scouts. Have faith :sorted:

Doubtful about that. Inside knowledge?
No just a massive slice of hope. I think that this season MB will hold onto Sawyers and just take it on the chin about the end of contract and have him involved. £2.5 or so million versus having him here, I think he'll roll the dice and keep him.

Welcome aboard

Looks like he has a fair long range shot on him and he's not afraid to use it

From my experience, Transfermarkt is extremely reliable when it comes to transfer figures., but even if it's not 100% correct, it's still pretty impressive

Lots of glimpses of Marcondes in the Jensen video, which is promising!
