It's a squad game.Don't understand why TF went with Jensen ahead of Josh today. We look so much more dynamic and combative with Josh in the middle. I like Jensen a lot but he is not in great form at the moment from what I've seen in recent games.
Even with the break Josh has played far more football than previously in his career. I expect we’re managing his game time to keep him fresh.Don't understand why TF went with Jensen ahead of Josh today. We look so much more dynamic and combative with Josh in the middle. Exactly !! Thomas has to assume play offs most likely outcome so he can neither have his first eleven completely knackered by then nor have the very talented “next in line” players totally rusty and not up to match speed. Also even in challenge for automatics we need to ensure that the players picked have a full game in their legs ... it seems already Thomas is managing Christian and Henrik through whatever knocks and niggles they have and Josh, he obviously believes, is most effectively used 1 1/2 and not 2 games per week. It's a squad game.
Even more so due to the intensive period of games we are now in.
Trust TF to get the use of the squad right. He has done so far....
Generally agree but thought he was in the right place at the right time several times.Don't understand why TF went with Jensen ahead of Josh today. Josh's first season and the performance staff will be advising that overuse could lead to injury. We need him fit and Matthias is a steady performer atm.Don't understand why TF went with Jensen ahead of Josh today. We look so much more dynamic and combative with Josh in the middle. Yes but he's not fit.Thought he was fine first half but second half we needed to keep the ball better and maybe could have done with someone like Baptiste coming on.
I know! Just saying it's a shame.. I'm guessing Mokotjo has had an issue too as he hasn't featured at all in recent games. We're lucky we've got so many quality midfielders. Sea change from last couple of seasons!Yes but he's not fit.
I was wondering whether Kamo has got himself sorted out for next season so now has an agreement that he is a "last resort".I know! Just saying it's a shame.. The physicality that Josh offers could be key in the midfield in the next hopefully 2 remaining games against relegation threatened teamsJosh's first season and the performance staff will be advising that overuse could lead to injury. We need him fit and Matthias is a steady performer atm.
Even nutmeged their fullback ..which the player resulted in a push on Bryan just outside their area ..I disagree. He used the ball well and made good runs.
Pre-contract agreement with QPR. Peter Gilham won’t allow him onto BFC premises.I was wondering whether Kamo has got himself sorted out for next season so now has an agreement that he is a "last resort".
Welcome to the GPG Josh JensenAbject. I don’t know what his role in the midfield is meant to be and if he does know, he clearly can’t execute it.
He’s better than that fkin clown- but not good enough for our best 11 that’s for sureWelcome to the GPG Josh Jensen![]()
Think we’ve had some great performances when they’ve both played together this season. For me it's not Jensen, it's that Jensen and Dasilva as a pair doesn't seem to work. I haven't done any great analysis, it just seems that more often than not, when they're together in the team, the midfield doesn't quite click.
I certainly wasn’t saying that. I like him but was just pointing out he hasn’t reached the levels of those he’s come in for.Yes Jensen cost us the game today every other player was great some of our fans are ****ing embarrassing
To be fair everyone looked pretty flat for the first 75 mins or so. We never really got going or got to our normal tempo until we had about 100 forwards on..I certainly wasn’t saying that. I like him but was just pointing out he hasn’t reached the levels of those he’s come in for.
tbf, I don't think many are turning on him. Just questioning why an out of form player should be starting ahead of Marcondes, who has been at his most creative since the season resumed and should certainly not be burnt out, as he has been rotated/not playing the full 90. Jensen being out of form wasn't the sole reason for the loss - plenty of others had off-days, but I do feel Marcondes would have given us more in the first 45 and said so before kick off.Yes he was poor, as was Josh D, but earlier in the season before injury he was very good.
Let's not turn on any of our players, that's not what we're about. Sh1t happens, it's how you respond to it that matters.
Agree...wouldnt have started Jensen myself... Needed someone to get on the ball more in midfield, keep it and pass to a team mate... Jensen has talent, but is too prone to losing it in bad areas, plays too many hopeful balls and flicks and doesn't get stuck in enough imo... especially in games like today.tbf, I don't think many are turning on him. sh*t times atm but made me lol lol lolBiggest game in our history (?). Play strongest team.
Jensen has compromising pics of TF.
He started slowly as he was getting used to a new league and new country, also he hardly played the previous season (same as Norgaard who took time to settle) was really good in the middle part of the season but then his injury just before lockdown and then getting another in the Fulham game first game back has set him back, he's obviously someone that needs time to get his rhythm and confidence going and while it's not ideal that we're having to use such important games to get him minutes but we need him playing with the amount of games we have had. Couldn't just play JDS and Marcondes every game, Baptise injury hasn't helped here either.Jensen seems a bit of an enigma IMO, has moments of great quality, assist for first goal against Barnsley, assist for winner at home to Reading, and assist for first goal at home to qpr. But gets knocked off the ball too easily at times and wants too much time on the ball which you don't get in the championship. Undoubtedly a skillful, technical player, just not sure if he's suited to the fast, physical nature of the championship.
Yeah agree with that. Was always going to take him a while to get going this season, and the middle part of the season was looking good. Just not sure about his physicality in this league, but he's definitely got the ability to do well.He started slowly as he was getting used to a new league and new country, also he hardly played the previous season (same as Norgaard who took time to settle) was really good in the middle part of the season but then his injury just before lockdown and then getting another in the Fulham game first game back has set him back, he's obviously someone that needs time to get his rhythm and confidence going and while it's not ideal that we're having to use such important games to get him minutes but we need him playing with the amount of games we have had. He's a good player that needs time, not people jumping on his back (not saying you are but many have been lately) so we as fans never learn? We've seen many many players (Marcondes being most recent) that take time to settle.
Agreed. It's his first season, he's had a few injuries, give him a break. If we find ourselves asking the same questions at the end of next season then that may be a different matter.
Fair point. I wasn't having a go at him, just an observation. Think he's got great ability so will see how he gets on next season. It's his first season, he's had a few injuries, give him a break. Yep, agreed.Thought Jensen did very well when he came on, moved the ball quickly and calmly and linked up well with Said.. Still a big part to play in the rest of the season..
