Plenty of players would look rubbish in the City or Liverpool side, and no worst than in there current team. An easy example would be Douglas would have looked rubbish in City and Liverpool, whereas excelled for us, and Jensen currently struggling in our current system but would looked better in current City or Liverpool side. The fact I'm having too even explain this kind of proves my point lol
I'm not saying Jensen is playing well, because he isn't but he isn't playing bad either to get the rubbish he does. Our current system isn't getting the best out of our most creative/best passer in the side.
Now two options really he goes or we adjust slightly to get more out of him.
Either way great player.

So basically just agreed with my entire point
I never said he was playing really well, just that we aren't getting the best out of him, because as you have said "we don't have so many runners and so much space".
He is currently plodding along at 6.5/7 out of 10 performances and I don't think we're see a 10/10 in this current system.
The same argument we all have with Forss another very talented player that some slate (bonkers!) but again another player that doesn't suit our current system.

He didn't play well today but even when he went off, our set plays were poor.

Lovely touch for first goal. I think he carried on his attitude from Man City with his running. Going to get in early here…
It was clearly a tactic to miss out an extra pass in midfield and try and get the Villa defence turning, but our strikers were not making any channel runs (and pretty poor in general) so the lofted balls that seemed crap I don’t actually blame Jensen for. He was also one of the few running into gaps and trying to create forward movement. Thankfully it seemed Thomas gave his head a shake (and his team’s) and we stopped doing it so much second half and tired to work the ball forward so all the midfielders looked better.

We’ve won 2 games that he’s started, Watford he came off at 1-0, today came off at 1-0. Performance isn’t based off set plays.

The magic came from Wissa. Superb finish.
We weren't getting anywhere near a position to shoot until somebody beat their man which Jensen did. That long passing move goes nowhere without it

He did ONE thing in the entire time he was on the pitch….thank god TF sees it the way most sane peoples did and subbed him for baptiste who did more in 20mins

Sorry VOB, I played/captained a Saturday side in the Southern Amatuer League for 23 years winning 11 league titles and 7 cup finals. I was always happy to accommodate a "luxury" player in the side who could create or convert chances providing the other players could cover his lack of defensive actions. No I would not play him against a league 2 side or an aggressive Burnley type prem side or a side like man city where we spend 80% of the time in a low defensive block. But against the majority of Prem sides he would start.One thing…..that shouldn’t guarantee you a start next game….those that have played,managed.reffed etc etc know he’s the weak link in that team…it’s not even up for discussion….tf will play him against port vale and they will relish it

That’s your opinion…mine is most of my fellow players would be cringing at the 70/30 in his favour tackles he pulls outi of
yes a luxury player when the other 3 in midfield are ball winners but we don’t have that luxury at the moment imhoI thought it was him, but I’m at the other end. Frank subbed him pdq after that though. We were better after he went off, but then again we’ve often finished games better than we’ve started them.

The opportunity for that pass was created by Roerslev's run. Without that l suspect MJ would have simply lost possession as there was nowhere else to play the ball.How far back do you want to go in analysing the move? For sure IMO we wouldn't have scored if the ball hadn't been delivered to Wissa.Brilliant goal.

Janelt, Norgaard and Da Silva are the preferred 3.
Baptiste possibly in with a shout.
But like Marcondes last season, Jensen will be important at some point (like today)
