Another owner lining his pockets.....🤣🤣
I need to do the maths to work out how old MB was when Ron Noades was calling us all thick parts in the forecourt. Unbelievable to think some youngster (at that time) was our saviour in waiting.

If you had believed Doug White then MB was at the Fans Forum and walked out due to "some fans questions". Questions of Doug and his mates of course. The story was of course, complete and utter ****ing b***ock*s.

In fact from https://www.richmondandtwickenhamtimes.co.uk/news/656552.main-fund-raiser-quits-brentford/

entitled "Main fund raiser quits Brentford" (sic) and dated 2nd December 2005

"The mystery man willing to invest £500,000 preferred to deal with the current directors rather than Bees United.

"He was at the fans' forum where he witnessed the bad treatment of chairman Eddie Rogers and chief executive Andy Finch.

"He saw them undefended by Bees United as they were criticised by members of Brentford Independent Association of Supporters.

He then goes on

"Property developer White, a Brentford fan for 38 years, also revealed: "I have presented six possible relocation sites to Hounslow Council outside Brentford because I believe a move west makes commercial sense. We would get a bigger, cheaper site with better access.

"We could extend our fan base if we don't have QPR, Fulham and Chelsea on our doorsteps.

"Lionel Road won't work because it would cost at least £20million to buy it from the property developers."

I hope he's been watching the drone videos lol

We have been truly blessed with MB’s vision and money but to be fair, DW was at GP yesterday and as pumped as anyone as the goals went in. Maybe not the answer to our problems 15 years ago but a true Bee nonetheless.

Companies House records show his DOB as being May 1968

Interestingly, they also show he's not currently a director of any active UK business....

I’m not sure about anyone else but doesn’t seem feel like 13/14 years that MB took control - it feels much more recent to me. Incredible what has been done in that time.

He didn't. Bees United were running things up to circa 9 years ago although he had provided financial support.

We’ve ended up here, in a great place because of so many people. All tried their best, from the very early entrants such as John McGlashen, the unpaid stewardship of David Heath, the gifting of BFC shares by Alan Bird to some of us he considered worthy but knew might create havoc with the owners at the time.

There are many others for the history books to recognise.

Some of the decision making now looks ridiculous (plenty at the time did as well!) but I happen to think they wanted to save and improve Brentford.

The real villains are the likes of Noades and his cronies, who should always been remembered as *****.

No harm blaming DW for helping to lead astray certain fans years ago off the pitch though 😂😂🥳😂

I find the buzz around the club and the connection between fans, team, TF and the appreciation of a visionary owner and the excellent back room staff, coaches and management team....a thing of beauty.
Incredible times and can't thank MB enough. So many of my son's football playing mates (who support the usual suspects, Man Utd etc) have come to GP and just fallen in love with our club. So proud!

If you put MB's tweets up on the board you have to expect people to comment about them!
We have no control on what he posts and the feed is automated. We can try and ensure there are no political posts in threads though.

So, a political viewpoint can be publicised on the opening page of the site which cannot be contested elsewhere. Ironic, given the view ostensibly being publicised was one relating to free speech! rofl

Not sure anyway what 'automated' means - surely the curator of the site has some control over what goes on it ie you can suspend 'automation' if an MB tweet is political. To do otherwise, makes a mockery of your no politics rule.

The curator(s) of this site have jobs and a life away from the GPG which means we can't crawl over every post and every page. Yours was brought to my attention, I was oblivious to the tweet in question. Would you like to move on now?

No matter what else happens over the next few days, I want to thank MB for everything he has done for this club. It's been something incredible to witness. To be even talking about the Premier League would have been laughable just a few short years ago.

I know the sentiment has been vocalised many times before but we're just 4 points away from realising the dream.

If Marcus Rashford can receive an honorary doctorate at 25 years of age, it's the very least that the University of Brentford can do for Matthew.

Yes,not sure of the University Name.On the corner of the A4 and Boston Manor Rd they are a sponsor, they can give Matthew a degree and possibly Thomas as well

University of West London. Yep, honorary doctorates would definitely be in order. (I think both Thomas and Sir Matthew have bachelor degrees already, the latter in maths from Oxford)

Matthew will know better than anyone that the chances of automatic promotion are not yet 100%.

I think it would be great if Matthew decided to start up a University of Brentford. The establishment might specialise in Mathematics, Statistical Modelling and Gambling Science. This university could then award him a well-deserved honorary doctorate. I don't know if this will really happen though.

For the benefit of @badgerbee, I mean this regardless of whether Brentford achieve promotion this year or not. ;)

We are just so so so so so lucky to have him. What an incredible journey he has led us on, regardless of where these next couple of games take us.

Here’s to many more years (decades even, if I’m being greedy) with this man steering the ship.
