Yep was on crutches after the game and looked in pain, doubt we'll see him back for a little while.

Noticed that Andre Gray came off against Derby last night in the 31st minute with hamstring problem. If he had stayed his name could have gone on the list!

Have I left anyone out?

How on earth can your deal with all of these injuries?

We have 3 loans left.

Do we try and sign a right back, a creative midfielder or a striker ?

Where do you start?

We don't need a right back. We have more then enough cover for Colin while he is out.

Colin - 1st team player, will be missed
Tarkowski - 1st team player, will be missed (but back soon?)
McEachran - Probable 1st team, an unknown to an extent
Jota - say no more!
Bjelland - see above (potentially)
Hogan - relative unknown, good prior form in league two.
MacLeod - well, THE great unknown
Gogia - 1st team player, jury still out perhaps?
Hofmann - 1st team (sub?)
Saunders - have to be honest, not a 1st team player anymore
Yennaris - same as Sam

Obviously just my personal opinion there. Yes, it's a terrible injury situation but the "big" players make up a relatively small proportion. A few are due back quite soon as well.

Therefore 3 loans, should we use them, would probably do it.

deeply concerned

our make do and mend side may have managed to scramble a result against one of the weaker sides in the league on saturday
but there are far greater challenges on the horizon.

as things stand i don't see how we can cope without at least some further recruitment.
but can we afford it? can we afford not to?

You're looking at at least four, probably five nailed on starters in that list IMO, several of whom I'd have expected to be stand out performers. You're also looking at genuine quality from the bench.

You could be correct but then again who are the proven 5 players?

The proven 1st team players make up a small portion of the list and some of them are due back quite soon.

The others are either unproven or not first team material anyway. Just my glass half full viewpoint :)

For me, Maxime, Bjelland and Josh were all brought in to be permanent mainstays of the side. We know all about Jota and Tarky too, although in the latter's case, we at least have some strength in depth in that area. I'm as positive as anyone but those are huge misses IMO.

Going by the official site update a few weeks back McEachran is 4 weeks alway and Jota 6 or 7, I think.

P.S. is there a generic injuries thread?

What about Hogan when is he expected back, is it around early new year?
There is of course a question mark over Hogan as to whether he has got over his injury prone problems, although the club has shown faith by giving him an extension to his contract.

if we continue with what we've got, staying out of the bottom 3 will be a major achievement

Left field suggestion but when fit I wonder if Tarks could do a job at right back ? We could keep the nice balance between Dean and Barbet then. Alternatively a 3-5-2 with Tarks Harlee and
Yohan with Clarke and Bidders with more licence to go forward.

I thought the same but can't see it happening. Tarky is a bit ponderous and I cannot see him hurtling down the wing. We are fine with Clarke and Macca.

IMO we have far worse problems elsewhere.

Is all this pure bad luck (the majority prob is) or is there some re-think needed on what we do ie training intensity, pre signing medical assessments, player rest, medical history assessments ?

wow I knew it was bad but wow.

Crutiate, it was a career ender up until 20 years ago, now it is repairable but usually a year out. Getting it twice is shockingly bad news. One hopes he recovers, jay roderigues appears to have done.
