Heard the sad news today from Yorick that his brother, Brentford fan Micheal Patten, or 'Paddy' as he was known on the terraces, passed away today.

Paddy used to run the unofficial coaches from Hounslow Bus Garage.

RIP Paddy

Mods, can this thread title be changed to include Paddy in the Title thanks. Not sure how many people at Brentford knew him as Michael, always Paddy or Pat.

RIP Paddy i was gutted hear this.

Went on of a few the " Unofficial Coaches" from the bus station in Hounslow.

Remembered an away trip to Bristol Rovers in the mid eighties... slight Issue we had no coach and few in numbers but he managed to source a "Talbot Express" van.:D
8 guys crammed in the back for 2hrs on the M4 there and back.

On the trip back we passed the team coach ( we won 1-0) some loon opened the side loading door on the van on the M4 so we could give the team a cheer.

Great days and fantastic memories, another Bee's fan legend gone.

There used to be regular trips we'd see going to away games, where there 'chaps packed into the back of a hire van.

So sad to hear this other day. Paddy was a character like no other. He used to always walk round with pad putting your name down with out asking and come up with this wonderful idea of what the travel was to be .He even thought of taking a plane to portugal my name was down.We all know that feeling waiting at hounslow bus garage not knowing what would turn up once a dirty old ice cream van ! I could go on and on but when did come off great great times even a stripper once though not that good !! I just had to say something about a nice guy a bit different but part of growing up with brentford fc.I will miss him not close but just sad he has gone. my condolence to his family .
