They’ll struggle to sell 2000 for that bore draw. 😀

We will play a team of kids just as we did against Stoke last season.

A game we really don’t need

I was there the last time we played them in the FA Cup.
Same again, 3rd Round in January 1964.

We won 2-1, and it was very muddy! I watched from the old Brook Road stand, which was packed and rocking.
1963-64 was a crazy season. We demolished Wrexham 9-0, biggest ever home win; then lost 2-6 to Luton, biggest ever home defeat!
Plus we used 4 different goalkeepers that season, and The Beatles and Stones were top of the charts for most of it.

Enough history, I hear you cry!

Actually we lost 6-2 to Luton on the Saturday and then beat Wrexham 9-0 on the Wednesday (October 15th, my birthday). I missed the latter because I didn't want my birthday ruined by another inept performance. My dad went by himself and never stopped rubbing it in. Worst decision of my life (apart from moving to America) (LOL)

What a sh*t draw. No one is interested.
Didn't everyone say the same when we drew WBA in the Carabao Cup earlier this season??
Will be interesting to see how the ticket allocation process for the Newcastle game is received......

Let the ex-members or those on the season ticket wait list go on the ballot for this one

I think it is only fair and democratic for the club to restrict tickets to non ST holders.

the wait for drawing a top flight club at home in the 3rd round continues... 70 years now - Chelsea at home in 1949/50. Marine, however, in only their 2nd time in the 3rd round - Tottenham at home. Typical.

Poor attitude. The FA Cup still means a lot to the majority of football fans!
Not this season. There is just too much else going on, promotion - and maybe the League Cup are the main goals and any extra time off we can give the squad is valuable.

It's bad enough having to play a Warnock side twice a season, let alone the Gods deciding that we must play them in the cup. At least we don't have to worry about travelling up there to play it.

Saw the 1964 match. For some reason we played in blue. Was standing at The Ealing Road end,at front, just to right of goalpost when John Dick hammered one off his famous left foot from edge of the area.It flew inches wide and nearly took my head off.A very exciting match and Bees played really well against a strong team that included Alan Peacock,an England centre forward.

This season and any season. The FA Cup is still special for proper football fans. The treble is still on.

Personally I'd like us to send a goalkeeper to Middlesborough - and they send one to us - then have a penalty shoot-out on Zoom to spare us 2 hours of tedium. Seriously though, it's a chance to blood one or two newcomers. Middlesborough will probably do the same which could make for a more open game - we hope !

Agreed. If we beat Newcastle (yes, I know it’s a big if), the League Cup semi final is the midweek before the FA Cup 3rd Round, and we would then have played every Saturday and every midweek between the last international break and that FA Cup weekend.
I’m guessing that Zamburek is the first name on the team sheet for the Smoggies FA Cup tie...

nevertheless, i would be happy enough if i got a ticket for this one...

Looking at the spelling Id say Zamburek is probably the last one on the team sheet

Warnock is the antichrist of football. Every team he has managed has been awful to watch. Sadly it's been successful below prem level. I won't be watching this. I just hope we despatch them.

We played in dark blue if I remember. Was a very wintery day.

I think that fa cup colour clash games meant both teams had to change

I got the app for this although it seems to deal solely with women's football. Perhaps the other stuff appears nearer the time.

How/where do we get the FA Player and is there any cost?

Can someone put this into layman’s term , picked from FA Player information

What are the internet connection requirements?
You’ll need a WIFI or broadband internet connection (DSL/cable or higher) with a minimum download speed of at least 1.2mbps with latency not exceeding 100ms for SD and 4mbps with latency not exceeding 50ms for HD (mobile data may not be supported). If you’re traveling abroad, please use a Wi-Fi network or broadband connection to view and maintain full compatibility (this allows the country you are in to be recognized as a selected territory).
