Please vote here for your MOM tonight. Poll open for 1 week.

In view of the special nature of the match, the performance and the result, I have added an "All of them" option on this occasion only. That option gets my vote as it's so difficult to single out just one of them!!

Really tough one but the two outstanding candidates were Canos and Mbeumo. I'm going to give it to Sergi as he got our first Prem goal.. Nothing in it though and soooo many other candidates.!

Since one of the mods has decided that we can't have an "All of them" option (despite at least 4 people voting for it), I have now voted for Bryan, but it could easily have been at least 3 or 4 others.

Most were completely ‘shot’ at the end of the game which was good and bad from my perspective but Bryan was mom for me.

If you want to take responsibility for these votes then it comes with accountability to stick to the well-established rules. And to continue it for the whole season.

Canos for me. Not just for the goal, but for his sudden ability to pull off fantastic tackles rather than the rash challenges that we saw so often last season.
Shows what value if our coaching bff adds to team and players wilingness to take on Board such coaching !

Bryan, superb as the second striker. The gunners defence were terrified by him.

Sergi for me, a constant threat going forward but also did well defensively against one of their better players Tierney.

I did it, on a very clearly stated one-off basis, for the reasons given but I'm not going to argue with you after such a great evening.

Ethan, Brian were superb. Midfield trio covered every blade of grass and CN popped up with the all important 2nd, IT worked his socks off all game. Raya was faultless and pulled out a class save when required but have to give it narrowly to Sergi who not only proved a threat going forward but was good in defence as well - an area that some thought he may struggle in.

I've gone for Raya. Came and confidently caught the ball on at least 2 occssions and made 2 great saves at crucial times. No wonder the Ares came in for him as he is heads and shoulders above Leno.

The whole team played very, very well. The entire defence was superb, Christian was excellent, Frank and Vitaly were everywhere, Bryan scared them to death and Ivan was, well Ivan , but my choice, by a whisker, was Sergi .

There should be an option for the fans.

Thomas Frank has given all of us is Man of the Match vote! 😊🐝👏

As per this quote -
"“The fans were absolutely amazing. That was more than a 10 out of 10 performance in terms of atmosphere. Constant singing. Amazing. I know after the play-off final there was a lot of proud people, a lot of tears. It’s been a long journey. I thought we deserved the win.

“What I liked was how brave we were, pressing high and trying to play. If there was only one man of the match, it’s the fans.

“We believe if we have players with quality and the right character, then there’s no problems.”

Difficult call as Raya and Bryan were both brilliant but I gave it to Sergi. I don’t necessarily think he’s good enough to be a starter every week in the Premier League but he was superb last night and not just because of the goal.

Difficult one. Three stands outs for me were Mbeumo (who has improved beyond belief just lately), Pinnock (likewise) and Raya. But I've gone for Raya because for me that was the best I've ever seen him perform for Brentford.

I voted for Canos.
In the Valencia thread I posted that for me, Canos was not a right wingback.
Delighted to retract that remark, he was brilliant in the right wingback role last night.

Pinnock was my choice, but Raya, Canos, Mbeumo and Toney were all 8/10s minumum (probably the rest were 7s)

'Nails' Janet was a giant last night. Really impressive, yet I can't even get him in my top 4!!! I am going for Sergi!

Massive performances by every single one of them. Raya a very close runner up, for keeping us in the game, more than once. But it has to be Canos, who just seemed to embody everything brilliant about us last night.

Everyone on the pitch played like heroes so to single one of them out is obviously a very difficult task but for me it was a choice of 4
Pinnock who was flawless at the back
Rico because he showed his class time and again when called upon
Toney who was tireless in his efforts both in defence and attack
But my vote goes to Mbeumo he scared the life out of their defence every time he got the ball and lets not forget he hit the post at 0-0

Not much to add - Bryan and Ethan were particularly outstanding - but my vote goes to David Raya. He was utterly commanding in the air last night, decisive where once he flapped. That sets the tone for the team. An international call up will not be far away.

I love threads like these, by the time I read the nearly 50 posts I changed my mind regularly.

One thing about Bryan which I love, he is such a nuisance, I would hate to play against him. He has that solidity that Roberto Carlos had, not the same position obvs but just that snapping at you constantly, you need to be on your absolute game just to keep him off.

And he's only 22.

MOM to all players + us all lucky enough to have been there y/day.

Went for him also. Reality is could have made a case for almost every player and Pinnock was head and shoulders best center bacK on pitch ...in fact all of our center backs including Sorensen were better than Arsenal’s including chambers. But Canos deserves it for how he instills such energy into the team and never say die attitude.
