I'll let them off as it was Newcastle's new manager

Sadly, we are going to suffer again next week as they talk about the Bees 3-0 win putting Rafa Benitez under real pressure

Just watched the game, not one mention of the bees performance.
We all know Shearer and Wright's allegiance to there prospective team but the show is there for the general punter who tunes in
... and - like.it or not - the general punter is more interested in the Newcastle story right now. All the while we are sitting somewhere between mid-table and the relegation slots, and we don't look like we're about to sack our manager, we aren't going to be of much interest outside our own fanbase.

In that case, I’m happy for us to be of absolutely no interest to anyone

In that case i wont pay our TV licence then - you know, as the BBC is not of much interest to me.

Pleasantly surprised to see the analysis focused more on Brentford this week (well, Toney, really - cos that's the only player they've heard of  )

On the other hand, disappointed the highlights didn't even include our best two chances outside of the goal (Mbeumo in the 1st half and Wissa late in the 2nd, both saved by Pickford) but had the time to squeeze in some Everton crosses that just went out for a goal kick....

No, otherwise they'd have to show all the Tuesday and Wednesday matches too

Yep as @Bristolian Bee says...Tuesday and Wednesday matches were shown Wednesday night so no reason they would show them again.

Just thought they might show the two they had not covered already...especially as none of the teams played today.

Only just noticed this. I thought that they obviously ran out of time to do a proper edit of the match and just strung together the penalty incident and goal and a few other random moments. A very poor job IMHO.

Boomo is back on MOTD

Yeah, he was also on whoever provided the commentary I was listening to. Odd! Do they know something we don't?

He spotted it correctly about Canos though. But the reason he was better 2nd half was a clever slight tactical switch by TF and him playing slightly deeper almost like false 9. I was surprised they didn't say how we were going to get relegated that without Toney there was noone up top and show as evidence the poor header by Canos

A match consists of 2 teams, and so should the analysis. Some of our 2nd half improvement could have been due to them losing Cooper, Phillips and the other one, to injury. Just giving a gentle stir…

I don't think we should get too precious about all this. Fact is, when Bees got promoted, we were "news" all of a sudden (small club, 50th to be in the PL etc). Then when that wore off, we ceased to be news.

That's the way it works, sadly, but the main thing is, we're in the PL, whether that gets us first on MOTD or last.

Altogether now: "Bus stop in Hounslow, we're just a bus stop in Hounslow..."

Exactly this nice story for the neutral at the start, but we really are just little old Brentford to 99% of pundits and other fans. I'm more than happy with that. Enjoying the ride!

Never watched MoTD until this season, unsurprisingly. I always liked EFL on Quest which had proper analysis and informed pundits and Colin Murray is an excellent presenter and MoTD is seriously poor by comparison. I don't watch any "analysis" of our games any more this season as what I have seen has been pitiful.

We get no more or less than other comparable teams like Burnley. I thought we got a lot more than usual on MOTD2 in highlights and discussion.

Incidentally I was watching Sky Sports on Saturday and Clinton Morrison is an example of someone who really knows the Bees having seen them several times the last couple of years and said exactly why we've gone off the boil is the way play is directed from Raya

Watching the Arsenal and Southampton game - 40 year old Caballero looks proper dodgy coming for crosses for Southampton. I am sure TF will have noted this when we play them next weekend.

He’s the worst referee on the Prem. He’s unfit and so doesn’t keep up with play that’s part of the problem. He is influenced by big names and amazed that he hasn’t been binned off

Spot on. The last of a bad bunch IMO.

Saying that Oliver who i like wasnt that great on Friday.

Lineker said we are a good watch, he barely uttered our name in the past.

Emergency signing to be fair. Only joined the club last week. Forster likely to be back by Saturday

Broja and Armstrong both went off injured yesterday and Che Adams is already injured. They could be very light up front next week depending on the severity of the injuries.
