He certainly took time to reassure McEachran that he wasn't to blame. I thought it was a nice touch from a man whose reputation wouldn't have led you to expect it.

Anyone want to explain what the drama with KR was in the second half? Whatever was said from some fans in New Road, he was very, very unhappy about.

Up to that point I thought he'd been fine, a thumbs up to the Bees fans and a laugh / joke before the game. Something obviously set him off as it appeared a very emotional tirade.

Don't know. I'm about the same row although the other side of dugouts. There were 2 or3 supporters standing shouting at him but I couldn't here what they were saying. You're right he did appear very angry.

It was just after his player had been stretchered off. I'm guessing someone said something that caused him to lose his cool. I think in the circumstances of this occasion, I'm on his side.

Edmundo is right that when the whole Oxford bench lost their cool it was just after the player had been strechered off. The replies from Robinson seem to suggest it was a comment about the injured player. Stewards got involved too.

...the truth about KR is that he's a caricature of who he really wanted to be but will sadly for him never become....the manager of a club in the upper echelons of english football...he cuts a hugely frustrated figure...bourn out by his antics yesterday....all a bit sad really.

He always speaks highly of us as a club, except when he is making up assault stories but isn't that because we think he wanted the job as head coach?

MB is a fan is he not?

He was once but KR showed himself up to be bully, then a coward and finally as CCTV proved an absolute liar over beergate.
On being embarrassed by the evidence that showed he wasn’t nearly knocked out after being hit by a “full pint glass” he asked if he could submit an article for a future programme and I believe we politely declined.

He’s gone from being a promising young coach to a bitter, whinging, fat victim and bully in about 10 years.

It was not long after the player had been stretchered off (which is potentially why he was more emotional/angry at that time) but no comments were made about the injury. Someone shouted, something along the lines of “sh*t team, going down and you’re getting sacked again Karl”. He completely lost it, shouting “that’s f******g out of order, a lads just broke his leg” at which point Derry jumped up and ran around the lean over the hoardings gesticulating and snarling at the fan(s) involved “come down here and say that” as if offering them out, from the safety of behind about five stewards.

Robinson then joined in and the two of them completely lost the plot for a few minutes, Robinson tell the fan, and I quote “pi you you can meet me outside and say that” before running up to every steward he could find and claiming the fans had been abusing them about the injured player.

Severa stewards came over in the usual anti home fans way and it looked like it wouldn’t end well until one (I’m assuming) more senior steward came over and quietly said “we know you didn’t say anything about the injury, but he’s made these claims before you know what he’s like so we’ve got to look like we’re investigatinf and doing something”. The steward then went back down to pitxhside, a few more minutes of nonsense talking and Robinson and his, frothing at the mouth with anger, assistant moaning to anyone who would listen and demanding people be thrown out.

A few minutes later all was back to normal

I'm sure the Oxford player's injury was distressing for them and hopefully he recovers quickly but horrible injuries happen in football and Karl Robinson knows that perfectly well. His drama queen impersonation was just embarrassing. All the dramatic 'head in hands' and exaggerated pacing up and down stuff before his 'look at me everyone' striding across the pitch nonsense suggested he was auditioning for a TV soap opera.

Great read and so the truth is out, KR is an tit and Derry would be funny in a fight, the silly little sh*t. He’s a very awkward person when interviewed and they both obviously used a nasty situation to look victims again.

Yep. Nothing was said about the player or injury. Steward also knew this.
Derry was looking for a fight, didn’t want to come into the stand though and then was crying to the stewards to remove me. We all know Corden is a lying git, he has previous and got personal.

I knew over the course of the weekend the truth would out.
Corden is a fat, smug show off without the personality or credibility to pull it off.
We were all in the NR years ago when we went 0-3 down and he was taking the flak from us with great humour and giving us the thumbs up when John Gorman laughed when he heard me remark that he was starting to look like James Corden.

By the time we’d equalised at 3-3 he’d offered to meet us outside and then complained to stewards and police that he was being threatened.

That was before Beergate and pretty sure it was a couple of seasons before when dug outs were the other side when he offered to meet one of the Paddock regulars and a GPGer in the forecourt and then pooped himself when his invite was accepted and someone was waiting for him.

He is a bully and a coward who is happy to play the funny man of the people when it’s going his way but a bell end of the highest order who lies about being threatened and glassed when it comes on top.

Didn’t know this bit had happened. KR is a classic bully boy with big b***ocks when with his mates or surrounded by stewards but a snivelling little karnt if you get him on his own.

KARL Robinson has been charged by the Football Association for an alleged breach of the rules on Saturday.

It revolves around the Oxford United head coach's conduct at the end of Saturday's goalless draw against Shrewsbury Town.

In his post-match interviews Robinson was critical of referee Craig Hicks's performance.

Apparently he threw bitter but as everyone knows KR is a lager man

Police were called to the Stadium of Light following claims Oxford United goalkeeper Jack Stevens was headbutted at half-time in the U's 3-1 League One defeat at Sunderland.

Oxford boss Karl Robinson admitted he did not see the incident which happened in the tunnel during the break.
"We are waiting for the police to come, one of my goalkeepers was headbutted at half-time," he told BBC Radio Oxford.

"I don't want to use names, it's not right to do that."

Lee Johnson says there was something akin to a royal rumble in the tunnel at half time and full time but it's not something he encourages  I believe him it's not like he is the sort of guy who promises his team will injure an opponent next time they play them just because said ;) player is too good for his team to handle...

WARNING: Unsurprising update follows

Journalist Craig Hope tweeted a surprise twist on Saturday, saying: “Understand Oxford will not be pursuing police action in light of allegations that a member of SAFC coaching staff headbutted their goalkeeper Jack Stevens during tunnel brawl y’day. Club consider the matter to be over.”

Banned for 4 games

Oxford United have received formal confirmation that following an FA hearing earlier in the week Manager Karl Robinson has been banned from the touchline for four games and fined, along with the club, for incidents that took place at the away game at Sunderland earlier in the season.

The club accepts the punishment but wish to state publicly its support for Karl, the staff and the players over this incident. The togetherness and spirit throughout the club is second to none and to lose our Manager from the dugout for a key game such as today is the latest challenge in a very testing season for all concerned.

Karl told us

“I’m proud of my players and will always back them, as will all of the staff. What happened at Sunderland should never have got to that stage. I wanted the police called because of an incident at half time, not of our making, that sparked what happened later. Had that happened then events after the final whistle would have been very different.

“I won’t apologise for the staff and players caring and looking after each other but in a very long season it was just one fleeting moment where the passion we all have for this club spilled over.

“As far as we are concerned the incident is now closed. We move on and we prepare for today’s game in or usual calm, professional manner.”

Karl will be in the stands rather than the dugout for today’s home game against Burton Albion and then the next three games, whether those are play-off matches or at the start of next season.

Prior to Oxford's Carabao Cup clash with QPR, Karl Robinson has had this to say:

“QPR are my London team and always a club I look forward to going to. Loftus Road has a great feel about it, a ground built up the right way."

That fits...
