Maybe it’s a case of they don’t want to sell mid season, but would be open to in the summer, hence why Eriksen deal is said to be 6 months, and we go back in the summer, like with Wissa.

Wonder if this changes anything for us...
Can’t see Shakhtar paying that much for one player without being guaranteed money from elsewhere. Logic would say they’ve either accepted a new bid from us, or have even gone back and accepted our £15 million offer now they have a replacement, although for some reason I doubt that’s the case, especially if we’re in for Eriksen (can’t see us getting both).

@NicoSchira on twitter just confirmed that Mudryk's team has bought David Neres. Could they be intending to play Neres and Mudryk together on opposite wings, or does this mean that Mudryk is going to be more likely to move?
Another reporter said the Neres transfer had no relevance to Mudryk situation as they play in different positions
So it's as clear as Mudryk.

Different positions yes, but similar impact. Seems like one plays wing on the left and the other plays wing on the right, primarily. So it could be that they are pre-emptively making a move to replace the offensive contributions that they'll be losing.

On topic, and aimed at those saying we MUST sign this kid now or we are going down, can I remind that IF he comes he’s only just turned 21, will be in a strange country, very possibly speaks very little English, will not have any fellow Russian speakers at the club (unless Vitaly speaks Russian…he can do everything else after all) and will need time to get used to our playing style, the premier league and especially the pace of the game. He’s one for the future, and would probably be only used sparingly at first.
Don’t think it’s him specifically, rather just the type of player he is. We really need a creative midfielder, whether that be him, Eriksen or someone we don’t know of yet.
