It seems like Shakhtar more or less have to sell all of their players, so I am hopeful that Brentford are able to get their hands on this lad.

Slightly uncomfortable with gaining an advantage from this situation. Hope we do the decent thing by Shakhtar, maybe involving the sell on, but then who knows, with that part of Ukraine in particular, how the geopolitical landscape will look in the future.

Not sure. However one thing I would note is Solomon who everyone has reported is a done deal to Fulham is still training and playing for Shakhtar, so there is a possibility there is an agreement in place and we’ll just wait until Shakhtar finish their tour to complete the deal, as first team friendlies are probably more beneficial than B team games for him.

Having read the article, still at the speculative stage.
Nothing more than Leverkusen interested, working on it & suggesting the transfer fee is 20M Euros (what they state we offered in January).
The level of other clubs interested (AC Milan, Juve, Sevilla) if true makes him very hot property.

Very hot indeed! And I do still think that we have a good argument to make, as a now-Premier league club should be able to get close in terms of money, and also more exposure and playing time than some of the other clubs.

Remember we signed Mbeumo when Marseille were interested and Maupay when Brighton were interested due to the all round offer and that was when we were mid table in the Championship.
Not saying everyone always wants to sign for us as #1 choice but it is not just a case of scanning down a list of clubs by league position.
Money wise, Leverkusen received the third highest TV money in the Bundesliga last season, €88m, but if repeated this season, but that is still lower than what 20th place in the PL gets you. Leverkusen may get more from a European run though, I haven't checked that.

I think the Mudryk to Leverkusen links are propagated on them receiving a top dollar fee for Moussa Diaby (+ £40m).

It may very well be a choice of a 'top Bundesliga side' over a 'mid table PL side' but they are just moments in time and as with anything in life are not set in stone.

As with Vanderson to Monaco, we are competing with clubs who can offer the likelihood of Champions League football. Feels slightly bizarre to be competing for signatures with such clubs, but wonderful too, even if it doesn't always come off. And this one is not a done deal yet, still might be twists and turns

Shakhtar remain hopeful they will be able to compete next season and have been handed a place in the Champions League group stage.
But their ability to take part looks highly doubtful, with no end to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in sight.
Fighting around the capital Kyiv, where Shakhtar have been playing since fighting broke out in 2014, has eased in recent weeks.
However, conflict remains intense in the Donbas region, where Donetsk is the capital.
