My last post for a while because of all the negativity on here.

When are the good folks on here going to realise that the gpg has degenerated into an absolute hatefest towards the club that I love. It seems that nothing the club does is going to be good enough for what now seems to be the vast majority. Yes I have had my say about Andy Scott, the level of style the team are playing and other things all things Brentford but no more.
And no this is NOT a direct result of getting a 10 pont infraction yesterday( by the way 10 points? jeez how many to get a full ban? because I will gladly go for it the way this website is at present. I will now just carry on supporting from afar and listen in to beesplayer and steer clear of the gpg on a saturday because it is one of the most miserable, negative, and above all bitchy website on line at present. if you all crave success that much go and support Chelsea, Fulham or dare I say it even QPR because too many people on here think we have a divine right to the same success our near neighbours are having at present. We are a LITTLE club, have been for years and will be for the foreseeable future. the quicker people take off there rose tinted specs and come to that realisation the better we will all be.
My next post is likely to be towards seasons end when I do the draw for the shirts for the sponsorship kits. I wont be doing it next year becasue I am out of pocket and despite pleas on here for people to stump up the cash and someone actually sending me a PM saying dont worry I will chase them for you I have recieved none of the shortfall so that has come out of my pocket in between hospital visits.
So thyere we have it I've had enough. bye bye fare thee well and enjoy the depths of despair you so crave. I am going to quietly listen to bees player, attempt to get to a few matches this year and hope that we are still in existence, rather like myself in a few years time to see us play at the mythical Lionel Road.

I will give out the details of the shirt winners when the draw happens. and for those that did pay. My heartfelt thanks. for those that didnt? well you have my pity as you are obviously suffering more than me in the credit crunch. I am not going to name anyone as that is against the so called code of conduct which reads a little bit like mein kampf in places, but you know who you are.

While l don't agree with some of your post l think its very poor that people have let you down,we are not talking about a great amount of money if l remember most fans put down for £10 some £20.I think you should give them a week to pay up or Name and Shame.Diabolical:sad: Hope your health improves and thanks for all your good work with the shirt sponsorships.

Yorkbee, first thing after reading this was to make sure I'd paid as my memory's crap lately.:D

Really sorry that you should lose out when you're helping both GPG and the Bees.
Let me know if you get nothing from them I'm sure we must be able to sort something with the vast numbers on GPG.

I agree with YorkBee. I think most of the people who are so negative on here sit in New Road. I think we can all agree together that New Road is the most pessimistic stand in England. No singing and just 100 percent moaning.

Sat on the New Road yesterday for the first time ever, gout playing up and didn't want to stand on the Ealing Road as usual.
What a moaning lot, never satisfied whatever the players did. I know it wasn't a great game but none of the players were given a chance. A perfect example was when Woodman was crossing into the box one bloke behind shouted for him to keep it on the floor, the next break he played it low into feet and the same bloke shouted 'what did you do that for?'.
Shall not be sitting there again.

Yorkbee, I am sorry you've found it difficult to cope with the comments on here. There is a lot of negativity so maybe keep coming back but for small doses. I've got to the stage where I rarely finish threads because it soon goes off topic and ends up with people posting abuse to one another. I've done more than my fair share of that but it seems to me that sometimes posters are only interested in argueing and that's just boring.

Please PM me if I have forgotten to pay you. I am very bad at remembering who I owe and who owes me. I think I did pay you but it's appalling that you are out of pocket. I'd name and shame (and that means me too if I haven't sent you a cheque).

Oi,

I sit in the New Road and while loud get behind my team as do a handful of others. In fairness there are a lot of moaners but a large percentage are in Gods waiting room and so presumably have been suffeiring Brentford for 50 years plus so you can see why unhappy!

Yeah thats fair but he was made to look good by two shocking performances by dave and bean. Im not saying get rid at all i think if KOC is to play he needs to play alongside someone better!!!! I think Hunt should be given a crack!!! hes alot more positive and attacking than bean.

He did more in 10 mins than the other 2 all game.

What did he do then?

Did he drive us forward to dominate the last 10 minutes? Did he take back the captaincy and urge the team towards a last ditch all out assault on a league 2 defence so we didn't have yet another Tuesday night game we could do without.

I don't think so.

To be honest my old granny could have done more in the last 10 minutes than Bean and Dave did in the first 80 if she had turned up with a zimmer frame.

If he had put Hunt and O'Connor on at half time having spotted the failures in the first half then Scott would have gone up a notch in my estimation. as usual though too little too late.

For every fan that is leaving the GPG because of negativity there are probably 20 who have stopped coming to games because it is rubbish to watch.

If you think the negativity isn't at least partly justified you are watching a different game to most of us.

hello, is this the place to moan about the moaning? marvellous.

the posts on "Andy Scott - is it time?" since the weekend don't read like hyperbole and knee-jerk stuff, they are considered opinions. it certainly sounds like the majority are dissatisfied. when the majority of people are dissatisfied, that generally leads to a negative atmosphere.

some reactions on here are heated and OTT but to moan about the moaning is just madness - there's more important things going on here, get a grip.

I would imagine that in every single football club in the country, the majority are likely to be dissatisfied. I would question whether the same majority are dissatisfied enough to want to change the manager though, despite the campaign against him.

reduce the whole thing to semantic games if that's how you want to get your kicks

as people are at pains to point out, we are unbeaten in 6 and gave 2 PL teams a good game. when you look at how dissatisfied people are in that context, and why, (as opposed to just writing off the opinions of notorious Scott-haters), then you have to conclude that there's a reason for all this negativity.

It seems i must be, i like things like 6 games unbeaten and 3 defeats in god knows how many games 16 is it ? I don't think we play as much direct stuff as people say. For every Bournemouth there has been games where we have played good stuff. We have a lot of new players and we have had injuries to forwards all season. I think we are going in the right direction and am looking forward to the rest of season. Quite why i get hostility for thinking this is another question.

Shake hands and be friends please.:sorted:

that's crazy talk NB - Griffin Park is a happy place where bunny-rabbits frolic, and it's only the evil evil GPG that dares cast a dark cloud over current proceedings. apparently.

JT you have hit the nail firmly and squarely on the head. We all see things differently and are all entitled to an opinion. Some people only seem to post on here to disagree with others. I spoke to a friend this morning who is a sprightly 88 year old season ticket holder who had a few thoughts on the last two home games and was interesting to listen to and he took on board my recollections of the Exeter game. I have the highest regard for his opinion and we tend to agree on stuff. There would have been 4090 different views on saturdays game. At the end of the day we all want the same thing. Success for our club because when it comes along it is glorious.

your first reply is nonsense. i'm not talking about any other clubs, nor is anyone else. to pick up on one phrase and use that to drift off and make a useless contribution to the discussion, i don't appreciate it. but thanks anyway.

Let's hope we win then as a loss will put us in sniffing distance of a relegation spot!!

Sorry, just joking!!

However MK Dons have a terrible away record & it will be really disappointing if we can't win this one.

To all the Scott supporters on here please answer a simple question. We all watch our team because we support them and we all want the team to do well. Why therefore is there a large groundswell of disquiet amongst the support both on here and at the ground????

This is something new as other Managers have not been in a situation that Scott finds himself, unbeaten in a number of games yet supporters, such as myself, are now going to stay away cos we are just fed up with the rubbish we have to watch, and I first started going over 50 years ago.

In my opinion Scott is playing a style of football that was popular in the lower leagues in the 70,s and 80,s football has moved on but we are seemingly heading back to those times, now I could well be wrong in my views however this is the overiding feeling I am getting at football this year.

If we are ambitous then we should be building now for the future with a sustainable style of football and a group of players that can take us forward, instead we are playing poor one dimensional football with a forward line of journeymen as such I fail to see where the golden future lies and can only see, if Scott is still here, a further clear out at the ned of the season and then starting again.

Yes I am now negative about my club, which my family has been supporting for over 100 years and I lay the blame for this firmly at the feet of the Manager who seems determined to remove any dreams I may have for long term success, not Prem just Championship.

things are defo not that bad and if scott can manage to bring in a couple of decent players........midfield mostly needs it:idea:........then we can defo get to the play offs.........this division is very open and any team that can put a good run together will get there.........:sorted:

saying that, a bad run and we'll be relagation material:(:D

win tues, win saturday, win at shots and even the moaners might shut up for 5 minslol

Completly agree.

Just need a midfielder that can pick a player out, someone to play along side O'connor. I think O'connor is our most reliable player and is someone we need in the team.

If the moaners dont attend games then they have no right to include themselves in the anti Scott arguement.

So because he's being positive he is a loyal fan, some on hear may think a rose tinted sunglasses fan, but if that is your description of a loyal fan, who am I to disagree. I just don't like the way we play, nothing to do with results, which have improved lately, that is the reason why I want AS out. So if that doesn't make me a loyal fan so be it. I'm sure we wont go down with him in charge, but when the testcard is becoming more watchable then Brentford I'm sorry its time for him to go.

No,

There's two of us, nice loyal one club man but realistically is a mid table League 2 club, right back. How he is a League 1 midfield player and captain to boot is beyond me, can someone put me right but I can't remember an inspirational captain for BFC since Paul Evans.

Completetly disagree, if O'Connor is a mid table league 2 player then what the hell are Bean, Dave and Hunt because Kevin is a better player and more consistent than any of our other centre midfielders. I agree that we need something more in midfield and he's not exactly the most inspirational of captains but to say he doesn't deserve to be playing in league 1 is ridiculous especially the way he's performed since we got promoted. Kevin O'Connor is not the problem!!!
