Would this be part of Daniel Levy's empire?

Would echo Nanny's expression of gratitude to Jackie and Graham. Thank you both!!

I would hope that Graham and Jackie are asked to be part of the new venture - they know everybody and their hard work of the past deserves recognition.

"Brentford FC has appointed sports stadia catering market leaders Levy UK as our official food and hospitality partner for our new stadium.

Having won a five-year contract to deliver a bold retail, hospitality and non-matchday catering vision, Levy UK has been brought onboard to help mobilise the foodservice operation across the brand new 17,250-seat Brentford Community Stadium."

"Jon Varney, Brentford FC Chief Executive, said:

“We’re delighted to have Levy UK on board as our official food and hospitality partner. Levy are passionate about providing Brentford FC and London Irish RFC fans and business partners with great food, quality drinks and first-class service at our new home. Levy is a company with great experience in our industry and has a proven track record in delivering high quality catering in football and rugby stadiums. We want every aspect of our new home to be first class; with Levy on board I’m confident our matchday offering, whether in our premium lounges or on the concourses, will be second to none.”

Ah moved to the right place - thanks mods. Sounds like a very good addition to the new stadium infrastructure - if it works as it should with modern technology the ordering experience should be quick and efficient and encourage fans to spend more time pre-game in the stadium thus generating additional funds. I very very rarely buy anything in the ground before games but if the quality and price is good I would certainly consider having some food and drink at Lionel Road.

Talk to Spurs fans and they'll tell you, it's all very well having super-fast delivery etc, but if they've run out of eg lager and food (or at least your own particular choice), then it doesn't count for a whole lot.

Also, they only take card payment at the new WHL stadium i.e. no cash. Same for LR? (Wouldn't bother me, btw, but some maybe?)

It's a division of Compass Group PLC, who have many catering and hospitality divisions. Levy UK is their "dedicated sports and leisure business". They own Keith Prowse, too.

Thought it had already been said - I think as part of the interest groups - that LR was to be cashless, or at least that was the aim.

I think we should maintain some cash queues.

ie if you have 4 queues at a concession stand keep one for cash sales, if just allows for those people who have next yet embraced contactless, plus some Junior/Student accounts do not have contactless .

Unless that’s changed in the past year because when I went I paid cash inside

Been to spurs for the NFL games. Service is quite quick but they ran out of the bottom fill glasses in places during the first game so couldn’t sell.

Can’t see many purchases being over the 30 quid limit for contactless so no issue with PINs slowing things down.

I get annoyed if I can't pay contactless now. Use biometric security and it's a touch of a finger to pay these days.

Same. I prefer to use my phone or watch, so much quicker and easier if the outlet is set up for it.

The press release has a great picture which looks like the West Stand Alliance standing in celebration of a goal against a team wearing blue and white hoops.

It also states: ...introducing a cashless environment.
Wonderful marketing bull****, though.

It's just pathetic. It really is.

I remember laughing out loud when a good friend at work said something like, "I need to contract with you that you'll meet my requirements on the ready for service dates for this documentation". To which I responded, "no need for all that crap Col, I'll have the training brief for you by cop Thursday. You can trial it on the Monday. Fair enough". The world goes more mental by the day.

I had hoped that we'd seen the last of this bs and I didn't know Kurt was back

'Every aspect of the customer journey.....................through helping aide (sic) speed of service..........'

The next partnership announcement should probably be with 'Proofreading Solutions.com'

Jon Varney also comes up with another of my pet hates and tells us that Levy UK is 'passionate'.

Can't we ever have announcements that come as if someone was actually speaking to us rather than choking on a marketingspeak dictionary?

Why can't we just say we chose them as the were the cheapest and we make most revenue long term from them. The offering was an acceptable trade off.

Exactly. I doubt we chose the most "passionate" bloke.

It to depend which Bank you are with.

My son can't wait for January, when he is 18, so he can have a contactless card like all his mates.

Seems that Nat West have an age limit.
