Only if watching in black & white.
He said if we play Watford away, we could switch to (stay with) our home kit. But both our home kit and Watford's home kit have black shorts. Thus causing a clash on colour TV's too, non?

Easy solution - red and white stripes up top, yellow shorts below. Cheque's in the mail (y)

Third kit is the same as last year's but with the Hollywood Bet sponsor in black
A shame, was hoping for a new third strip, this shirt looks even worse with the hollywood sponsor.

"Today, we are also confirming that Brentford will continue into a second year with its popular Third shirt. Originally seen last year and based on the original colours of Brentford Rowing Club, the kit has proved very popular with the players and fans alike.

With a limited 2020/21 release selling-out quickly we wanted to meet demand for the design and also provide parents who have bought the shirt for their children great value, as the juniors design remains the same for this season. For Adults we have refreshed the kit with our 2021/22 partners. It will be available in-store from tomorrow, Friday 13 August, and online from Monday 16 August."

another 4 years of Umbro too. Brentford and Umbro agree extension of partnership

It's refreshing to see us keep effectively the same kit for more than one season. Doesn't happen enough in football these days.

But, even if you excuse the typo, the fact that the club continue to refer to it as "our 2020/21 claret, salmon and club third strip" is quite astonishing. It's clearly white!

Shame the link to the shop page is broken, and the kit doesn't come up on the search function. They won't sell much like that! Fortunately it's not in my colour palette so not to worry!
Not online til Monday

have rules changed this season? great to see all teams in the prem wear their home shirts away if they don’t clash. Where as for a fair few years now it’s seemed they wear an away or 3rd kit even if there is no way near a clash with the home team.

Weren't the team wearing orange tops during the warm up before Fridays game, and yellow training tops before the Valencia game??

The women's 3td kit has last years shirt pictured. I hope they're not trying to flog old stock - my daughter wants to buy this years shirt.

I think they are, it looks to be missing the SafetyCulture sponsorship on the arm.

Sounds like a blue away kit for next season
and that's because of this I assume?
"We hope the new away shirt design will excite our fans who remember the 80’s and early 90’s"

Suggestion on a thread earlier this year was that this didn't sell well last time despite it being a classic in theory. Wonder how similar this will be.

Well done, BFC. I assume we'll get a new third so two new shirts a season is more than enough.

Yes the article says new second and third kits next season.... and then hints at what they may be like.

Hollywood bets also have a two year deal ... so, short of them going out of business there shouldn't be any danger of "same shirt, different sponsor" catching people out.

Castle badge coming back?
Yes, definitely. There was a famous petition organised by @nanny58 and that Bennum bloke caved in to the overwhelming demands of the fans and is bringing it back as a result. That’s why the club shop has started to sell castle badge gear now.

Incredible news in this day and age. A whole new set of kits each season isn't necessary, and if you get one for Christmas you're already halfway through its lifespan. So this announcement (together with last year's white kit also rolling over) is very welcome.

The cynic in me does wonder if there is another reason for this happening though!

Commercial department shooting themselves in the foot. I think people expect a new kit each year these days. I know the margins aren’t great on replica sales but seems to be a strange decision.

You knew that would make some people (not me, necessarily) go and look on the club shop website didn't you?

Dumb time of year to announce it too, bleed people during the majority of this season then announce in Feb/March

It’s beautiful. The shop is already trailing the return of the castle badge for the season after next now. The momentum is unstoppable.

The stuff below is just acting like a fluffer at a porn production - just wait until the actual castle shirt is released (and, yes, it’s true that there’s a sponsorship bidding war going on at the moment between DHL and KLM).

Controversial but I never liked the light blue / dark blue away kit, too Wycombe for me, never understood why we couldn’t go blue / black like Inter / Atalanta
