I am rather reliably informed that it will be 17,800
............extra space found...............Good news, but how did that happen?!

On the screen when i booked my ST i think it said 17,764 (or similar)

Other than the capacity it will be better in every meaningful way. With Loftus Road being 18,439 it’s a shame our new ground will come in just below this number.

Now that definitely has restricted views, it says so on half the tickets!
Do we know yet how many seats will be lost to creating a buffer zone for segregation?
But how many of that number can see the pitch? With Loftus Road being 18,439 it’s a shame our new ground will come in just below this number.

Would safe standing push us over? Or do they do it on a 1:1 ratio (seats to standing space)?
1:1 ratio is the official line. Think it's to do with the circulation areas, exit capacity etc.
still should have been 20k MINIMUM as i said on many occasions in the past.....IF we go up anything less than 25k is a bit of a waste...........at least the total has moved in the right direction i suppose
I was hoping for 20K but expected the final figure to be 15K,
so I'm happy with something in the middle. I Would've stopped
going if it was something like Colchester's ground.
indeed,,,,,,it could have been worse......its a very decent ground in a great area.....if only theyd change them seats to red and white and id be very happy![]()
Didnt someone work out the average Cham attendance is 18k. So we would have near enough that but be full rather than echoing!
We've gone for something that's buildable on the site within a reasonable timescale and budget. So we've gone for below average
So we've gone for below average
I have no experience of the PL but what is the average away support? Is it much different to Cham? Also we can limit it to what we want especially if we see able to get ST for the remainder. If 10% is min then they can have 1,800 not much more than the Wendy House.

Perfectly formed though it may be, Lionel Road would still be the 2nd smallest ground in the Championship this season, just like Griffin Park. However, if we are able to fill it every week and average, say, 17,000 (admittedly difficult to achieve in a stadium with a capacity of 17,800) this would currently take us up to 14th in the division for attendances, against our current position of 22nd.
I suppose the only realistic way of extending would be a second teir on th West stand, although very steep?
If we're an established top 10 PL club, we'll have to relocate.
