Since this topic was started, there was the Twitter homophobia thing back in March and he was charged with criminal damage in September but was let off. He made his first start of the season tonight against Bordeaux, only his second appearance this campaign.

Their must be many Hardworking young and older professional players out there envious of the chance "Nile" has been given to play at the top level, shame when a character so flawed waste their opportunity were anther would have made a good ,long successful career followed by a spot on "gillette soccer saturday " with Jeff.

A great example of the marriage of Broken Britain and the Premier League.

Maybe Notts County or Birmingham will have a look at him.

London lad too isn't he?

Reckon he'll end up at Leyton Orient before either a really long stretch inside or a place in the 'celebrity death' thread. Seems to abuse too many chances.

I think his dad played for Osterley FC. Might be wrong though!

there's some bizarre journalism in that Workington article

anyway: "He went on to infuriate large sections of the St James’ Park faithful by spelling his name out in £20 notes and posting them on Twitter." - i'd never heard of that lol what a nob

Being without a club I guess he can't go out on LOAN...

Yep, probably been done a few times before but couldn't be arsed to check...

Ps. I met a few of his type when I went to Egypt. Patrolling the big river over there they were...

Understand from a Millwall fan that if you tattoo tears on your face it signified that you have taken a life. The world is very strange and so different to when I was a youngster

Progress? What progress ??

Ranger signs for Swindon.
He can look forward to a warm reception at GP on Boxing Day then, if he is still on the loose.

RANGER OUT !

Do Swindon have no morals?

I mean, they are striking me as more and more a club I generally dislike on a base level.

The club appears poorly run, cowboy and a bit grimey

He seemed to be suggesting he had been asked to go on Celebrity Big Brother. Not sure they'd allow someone in bailed for a rape charge but, then again, maybe they would. He may score a few before his trial. Rape trial. Not football trial.

Ideal candidate. Season him for incarceration.

When we play them, is chanting lock him up (to the tune of sign him up) crossing the line?

That's being kind!
Jeremy Kyle could spend the next 5 years in Swindon and still not run out of programmes that would shock viewers with what happens among in breds.

The Swindon fans can't get their heads around it but the best is:

The litmus test is basically how would you feel if it was your sister/girlfriend/daughter/ (hopefully not the same person) that was the alleged victim? We would all think it was a terrible that the club were prepared to offer him a contract. But as I assume none of our fans know the woman in question, we let it go as we are all basically hypocritical in issues like this.

A statement from Swindon said the club had signed him with "requisite caveats vis-a-vis his ongoing legal case".

Who's their press officer, David Brent?
