Nothing to fear from Norwich. They were above average at best v Wycombe.
Play our game and the points are coming home to W London.
That could well have been a draw had a couple of the Wycombe boys kept there nerve when shooting..

Yep. Wycombe’s chances were as good as those Norwich had.
if we create the same quality of chances with Mbeumo, Ghoddos, Canos, Toney etc, no reason to be aiming for less than 3 points.

We were better in the first game and we were barely up to speed at the time. We need to be confident and assertive, none of this nonsense about playing Norgaard and Janelt in midfield. I predict Jensen will get space in this game and have a stormer.

No giving away silly goals with individual errors and we can do this and really lay a marker down.

0-2 Bees

My biggest concern is Max Arrons hes pacy and real quality and hes gonna be up against Sorensen so we could get exposed down that side.

If Cantwell is missing that's a huge plus and I'm really confident of a result

AG scored 2 for Brentford and then 23 for Burnley in their promotion season. Finished top goal scorer that season in the championship iirc.

Why is it nonsense to play Norgaard & Janelt together in this game ? Janelt has earned the right to be in the team by regularly being 8/10 or better each game. Norgaard is the clubs best midfielder and can be used to try to nullify Buendia. I am confident TF will play both together. We will then have six other players competing for three places in midfield/wide attack on the basis that Toney is fit.

I get that Janelt has been good this season but so good that he is a guaranteed starter in a position he hasn't yet played for us while DaSilva, Jensen, and Ghoddos, some of the best attacking talent in the league are competing for the other places? I don't see it. We need a ball playing midfield that can get the ball into dangerous forward areas build attacks and relieve pressure on our defence. We have already lost ball progression from defence with Rico's injury so I don't see the sense in playing two defensive players in the midfield three, it's a recipe for getting pinned back in our own half which we have been prone to this season.

Personally I don't expect Norgaard to start yet anyway.

A difficult game for Norwich ..... HOW do they approach it? ....A draw would be a VERY good result for them .... so, they'll be looking to not concede early on.
Which means we'll be on the offensive and hoping to grab a goal .... if we do, (and I think we will), they will have to come forward, giving us more opportunities to counter-attack and which might suit us better....so, I'm sticking with 0 - 2 ....as the main difference is that we will 'want it' more!

Guess what? Aussie Bee non fan prediction - again !

We have played poorly in the first half of so many games (let's give them a 1-0 start before we turn up) - this time we get found out by a true pretender of champions - 2-0 down at ht - 3-1 at the death - 90th min canos

I don’t think they are all that. If we play like we can we will win.
Agreed. I for one believe the hype that we are the best team in this league and if this is the case, we are by default better than Norwich. So turn up, show no fear, play the A game and it's ours. 2-1 Bees.

The opposite could be said against SBR. But from what I've seen, we tend to play worse against crap teams. Like Barnsley. Or Spurs. Got a good feeling about this one. ;)

What record do you refer to? I make it that Ivan would need to score 14 tomorrow to beat the club record? By no means out of the question I know, but it contradicts your 2-1 scoreline. Did you mean 14-1?

I agree that CN is unlikely to start. Janet will prob. be subbed by him around 65 min allowing him (Janet) to play at full throttle from the start. Janet, however, will be effective as an attacking mid-fielder alongside Christian when the latter is fit to return from the off. We have all seen Janelt's goal scoring capability and he admits that he was brought in as a no. 8, so I look forward to seeing them playing together as soon as Christian is up to speed which hopefully will be very soon.

Watched fair bit of yesterday’s game Wycombe Norwich, only up to the first goal. Three things Norwich were lucky that they got the cross in after the failed tackle out wide . Pukki to much room in the box. the deflection beat Stockdale

I dis like the Norwich right back think it was Aaron’s, our wide players have to push up on him to keep him from attacking. Other than that not a lot impressed me

Going to be difficult to say the least. Are we capable of beating them - Yes -. Are they capable of beating us -Yes -, so I think both sides wouldn't be disappointed with a draw. Therefore, I take that option, with fingers crossed that we might nick a precious win.

I'm not expecting either team to keep a clean sheet, but think we will eventually win by a margin of one goal.

I think it'll be a belter of a game. I'd say we are more clinical while they are more creative. I'm going for 2-2 but ultimately it could come down to which team has their shooting boots on.

Should be a good game, difficult to call, however we have some momentum and confidence again and Norwich have done well, but don't look invincible at the moment. Us 2-1 up at 90 minutes, then finishes 3-1 as they push for an equaliser and we get a counter attack third.

They only grabbed a draw at ours with a deflected goal.

Reports that Bayern looking at Aarons so hopefully his head won’t be in the right place etc etc etc.

Never say never, but a defeat would probably leave us having to protect our second place for the rest of the season, but a win and we open up a gap below and the chase for 1st could be on.

Jansen (attacking), Norgard and Janelt in midfield with Da Silva. Tony and Bryan or Ghoddas OMG how good is that?

3-0 Brentford. Norwich will most likely miss Cantwell who looked like their only player with any heart against Swansea.
If we can get 2 or more, we will win. Norwich are toothless attacking, I think Pukki has declined since he last played in the Championship. They were very lucky to weasel a draw last time. We are the better team.

Just need our back line to put in a good performance and it'll allow us to be aggressive in attack. No more stupid early concessions.

Id like to see

Raya
Dalsgaard
Reid
Pinnock
Sorensen

Dasilva
Norgaard
Jensen

Fosu
Toney
Mbuemo

Bring Ghoddos, Canos and Janelt on at 65 mins to put the game to bed

Anything less than a win would be a hard result to take, we are better than Norwich. Need to be on our regular top goalscoring form and the game is ours to win. We can't be leaving an instant promotion spot to our last games. Bournemouth, Watford and Bristol are our last 3. 2 of those are harder games than Norwich in my opinion. These last games will decide our future as a club and we cant drop points to promotion rivals.
Toney is the best striker we've ever had and I'd be gutted to watch another prem team swoop him away while we stagnate in the championship. Dasilva and Henry are 2 others I'd hate to lose after seeing how well Watkins and Benrahma are doing in the prem. If we go up we have such a great foundation to build a successful premier league squad on. But we need these points.

But honestly if we get beat by the odd goal it’s not the end of the world. Let’s not lurch too wildly in either direction based on the outcome of this one game

If we lose this one we will be lucky to even make the play offs.
Mind you we’d get stuffed by Barnsley in the play offs anyway.
It’s the sh*tty pitch.
TF out thought by Farke
Give Daniels a chance
You don’t wanna go up
Why didn’t we sign 8 loan players in January
Let’s recall Thompson from Swindon
JDS is clearly injured
Bryan has long covid

did I miss anything?

Fancy us to edge this one but a draw wouldn't be a disaster.
If we lose it looks more and more like a three horse race for second.
A win makes it a four horse race for top two :sorted:

Need to start on the front foot. No reason why we can't win but it's all about fine margins. We have to take our chances when they come along.

All results possible. Norwich are a good enough team to go up but not good enough to stay up. They have had more than their share of good fortune with penalties and deflections. Hoping for a 2-1 win with Ivan Toney getting a brace. C'mom you bees!

It’s funny but their site has a thread about whether they’d make a better fist of staying up than last time and the consensus is, only just and 16th spot is their realistic long term top end aim, getting relegated being also fine as long as they finished in the play offs after. That would be big for us as a long term midtable L1 club but even now looks deeply unambitious.

According to some on here, you've just done Daniel Farke's team talk for him.....
Don't be surprised to see this pinned up on the Norwich dressing room wall......
🙄
Fame at last.

They got lucky at our place with a deflected shot late on and we were the better team. Their shonky deflected goals can't keep happening.

if we create the same quality of chances with Mbeumo, Ghoddos, Canos, Toney etc, no reason to be aiming for less than 3 points.

Birmingham battered them for 80 minutes and should have won. A lucky deflection and then a late third when Brum threw 10 up front for a corner was against the run of the game.

Norwich are an excellent side in a rich vein of form, no Rico, head says Norwich 2-1 win, heart says Bees 2-1 for the Leyton Orient moment of the season which will spur us on to promotion. So probably a draw...

I'm a better player than Jensen...Mbeumo offers nothing....Canos is too headstrong, gives away freekicks...Why not a bench full of internationals?...No plan B....we don't do enough analysis...Bottlers the lot of them...Raya worries me.
