I believe that back in the day the three goals had to be scored in succession for it to be considered a hat-trick at all, let alone a perfect one.

I was listening to Villa game whilst driving with my wife in car. She doesn’t follow football at all and wondered why when they got the penalty I shouted not Watkins and then when he scored it I said well done Oli. I tried to explain and even got into well Brentford could get add on’s if he scored so many goals. She ask well how many has ho got to score and of course I said no idea but the more he get’s the better chance we have of getting it ! I tried to explain about undisclosed fees and add ons and got nowhere. As she has no idea about GPG I will admit it is frustrating not to know the requirements for the club to get add ons even without knowing the amounts

Tbf, Clinton Morrison, who played with him briefly at Exeter, said the season before last that Ollie would "go all the way", specifying that he meant England.

Meanwhile listening to one of the Very Angry Heads on Arsenal Fan TV just now, he said "Watkins or Lacazette - which one is the £50m forward? It's farkin' Watkins!"

Having witnessed the love from Woody to Ollie and back it is an extraordinary situation.
