My better half spends like its going out of fashion and has a husband and 3 kids in the house who adore Brentford, yet my missus doesn't bother with the club shop because she says there's nothing worth buying on it, or it's too difficult to use.

Now bearing in mind that if online buying and browsing shops was an Olympic sport my missus would not be favourite to win gold, they would just hand her the gold medal as the default.

As she says herself (and quite regularly too as if it's my shop) she would constantly buy stuff from the Brentford shop for the kids. Something is not optimised in the online retail section of the club, I guess that's a marketing thing.

In addition, she is a canny shopper, she won't buy rubbish and she won't be ripped off either, but she does know that withheld right offers and incentives she can end up spending more because she feelings is getting her monies worth. Again, anyone with a marketing head should be good enough t make her spend, the club are missing a revenue stream because I am sure she is nit the only one out there with that view.

As I said Thursday/Friday in another thread I was looking for some Christmas Brentford stuff online for our lad to begin the propaganda campaign in making him a Bee but there really is nothing for the smallest of Brentford fans. Perhaps it's the beginning of winding down the club shop operation ahead of the move to LR, one imagines the 'pop up' shops being planned in place of a dedicated shop will carry replica kits, scarves, hats, nothing more than the basics.

I don't suppose we'd have spent more than £30 but all the same it's disappointing we don't have more options.

I can offer a rather nice line in the iconic 'Miller ball' style Brentford badges if anyone is interested. Proper badge :D

Echo these sentiments Glasgow and even mugs with just a plain badge rather than the modern designs (a staple I would have thought) are out of stock whenever I try to buy.

My daughter has informed me she emailed the shop to ask when the car stickers with the club badge would be available again to buy. The reply noted that car stickers are for sale they just haven't put the picture on the shop website.

So God knows what else you can buy.

Not a very impressive marketing strategy.

My son wants a Brentford coat, they don’t have his size. I suppose it’s supply and demand.

I hope Mr Benham reads the GPG and sees how many fans are disappointed they can't spend their hard earned money on merchandise and tickets and help him keep his hands from his wallet a little bit.
The marketing department certainly ain't fit for purpose and a stewards enquiry certainly needs to be held into what is actually going on with it because they are actually costing money and not making it for the club imo.

Cant see it happening SCB. Will just throw out another smoke screen to cover it all up.

Looks like things have been changed with the online shop...tried to place an order this morning, my password now doesn’t work, so requested a reset. I received an email that contained a new password but when you log in, there’s no options to change any details, like your password. Tried to email the contact address given, and that has now come back saying this email does not exist. I don’t normally have a moan, but things have become such a pain in the backside lately when doing anything online at BFC.

the only workaround I've found is to request a new p/w every time I log on to buy new stuff...! Crazy.

I have the same situation, which renders my personal information at risk. I hope the new IT man is aware as this is most probably a data protection issue.

It feels like recently the amount of selection has dramatically reduced on the online shop. A lot of categories when selected, simply display "no results found". It's not just a couple, there's quite a number like this.
Is the selection of random BFC branded nick-nacks reduced in the physical shop too?

Berkshire, Lboro was my uni!
Every summer I wonder if it would be worth the shop stocking Brentford swim shorts.
I imagine there’s enough of our fans who have a warm holiday over the year, and would like to ‘represent’ by the beach or pool, with some BFC branded swimwear.

Rather than the same old Nike/Adidas swim shorts from sports direct every other guy wears, or Sam Saunders companies shorts if you have money to burn, or Speedos.

Cheers, extremely helpful.

yes, i thought so - charming eh...

for your question, you'd have to assume it would be open (they'd be mad not to, surely) - but it seems us little people don't really know, so the classic answer probably applies if you need to be sure - "phone the club" :)

Cheers Mr Tree, probably should've done this in the first place. Sometimes not worth asking a question on here sometimes!!

Kids away shorts out of stock, not due for another couple of weeks, website still states in stock if you are looking to order them. Ordered two full kids kits two weeks ago, I’ve had one delivery of just socks, one delivery of just the shirts and now told the shorts won’t be available for two weeks. Our merchandising doesn’t get any better does it !?

That’s so embarrassing. Piss poor Brentford.

I went in yesterday and it was piss poor. Sold of out of the kids’ mini kits and very little by way of anything other than replica shirts.

Where’s all of the Farewell GP tat? It all looked a bit embarrassing.

We absolutely need a retail outlet of some form at the new ground. The club should be printing money on Saturday and capitalising on that new season enthusiasm. Instead it seems a lot of people will leave the shop empty handed with a reinforced opinion that Brentford are a two Bob outfit. Potentially lots of disappointed kids who could pick a Chelsea shirt up with ease. No wonder we struggle to sell out GP.

I believe the idea is to have pop up shop(s) on match day. I'm old enough to remember them as "stalls". ;)

Market stalls selling what looks like knocked off tat, seems apt to me.

Normally every season I see it advertised that you can pre order every home programme for the season and have it delivered home, normally comes with box to keep them in.

Want to get it this season as it's the last.
I've looked and can't find it, does anyone have a link or no where to go to get this arranged ?

Cheers

I would like to know too.

I emailed info@curtis-sport.com , they were the people who done last season season long prescription.

Stuart@curtis-sport.com replied today saying they are doing it again.

£105 for the season, all friendlies, league, cups delivered to house. He said there will be some souvenir programmes in the pipe line too.
No mention of any kind of case to put them in.

Wondering if it's worth waiting to see if BFC are doing anything at all ? Sure they'd have advertised it by now ?a

Edit

I've just ordered

Found a link to purchase the subscription here: https://www.curtis-sport.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=94&product_id=2046

There's also a sneak peek at what I presume is the programme cover for tomorrow, with Ethan adorning the first cover: https://www.curtis-sport.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=94&product_id=2091
That badge in the bottom-right looks different...

N.B. not sure if that image worked. I only ever see the filename when pictures are uploaded. I suspect it's something to do with my office WiFi.

In the retail world of today it is “online” shopping that earns the money with minimal overheads such as staff costs etc. If, as envisaged, we have pop up shops at the new ground I would suggest sales will not be very different ( apart from the increased foot flow)

Anybody managed to get through on the phone to the club shop? Tried several times during the day but all I get is a message from Peter Gillam saying the shop is now closed, followed up by saying opening hours are 10.00 till 4.00pm.

I think they would do better then what we currently have at GP.

Pop up shop/stall outside each stand, and i think more people would entertain the thought about getting something.

Will they get posted so that they arrive before the game?
