When I was a kid I used to get match attax cards. Still got them somewhere in the loft. Since we’re in the prem, got a few of the new ones including a David Raya Limited edition. Worth its weight in gold

Whatever happened to PL Match Attax? Did they ditch them for Champions League?

mentioned in the cards thread - but I think those were Topps's version of the cards.
Panini won the rights to produce PL stickers and cards from 2019/20 onwards, so the equivalent is the Panini cards - Panini Adrenalyn XL.
Topps still do the Champions league and some other European leagues so Match Attax live on in those guises.

Ahh cheers, haven’t seen the cards thread. Interesting to know, I was wondering it seemed strange to discontinue them. I’ll have a look at the stickers and XL cards!

When is the sticker album available? Can’t seem to find a definitive answer online. I haven’t done one since 1985 but will this year.

How much will it cost to fill up? I hate to think.
The story that it costs £800 to fill a Panini album does the rounds during every World Cup / Euros but don't believe that.

If you want to buy 5000 stickers to fill a 600 sticker album that's your lookout but if you buy about 750 (total cost £105 for 150 packets of 5 stickers at 70p each), plus the free ones with the album, you should be able to swap your way to the rest whilst the album is popular....at the very least you'll get to the final 50 so you can order them from Panini. A couple of good swapping sites online if you don't know many collectors.

You can actually reduce the cost further with the big boxes of 100 and 150 packs as posted above....common to get a 10-15% discount on face value on eBay.

A reminder if any newish sticker nerds care, that you can do the 2020 album for a bargain price as I am doing at the moment ...you can get 100 packs for £25 on Amazon. But no Bees interest in that one.

I am a fair bit older with three kids. I think I'd feel guilty answering 'Daddy have we got any more yoghurts?' knowing I had spent the money on six Bryan Mbeumo duplicate stickers upstairs. But then again what a thing to feel guilty about.
Obviously you must make own decision that works for you financially, I'd like to think I'd take my kids on holiday and whatnot before getting involved in something like this, but if the heart is allowed to rule the head on this occasion, you now know what it'll set you back.

I keep on taking the youngest one to Premier Inns as she loves them and they had
a meal out last night, who am I working for?

When making my decision there is one thing I can be sure about - I don't want to trouble my wife with my deliberations.
