I don't want to sound too soft but would it be appropriate to have a whip round to either get flowers from the GPG or a donation to a charity in West Wlit Bees memory, whatever would be deemed suitable 🐝
Hi Glasgow Bee. Thats a very kind offer & much appreciated. Pete's wife, Linda, has requested no flowers. The family, as per your suggestion, would prefer any donations for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, details of which we are trying to obtain and we will publicise once we get these. Pete was air lifted from a local sports centre from near his home to a cardiac unit at Bristol Infirmary. That fast air lift gave Pete a chance of survival but it was the subsequent heart issues that Pete could not survive. The air ambulance is an invaluable resource, especially in rural areas, and I can even hear Pete now extolling the value of this type of service. I'm sure that a red and white rose may appear in the dug out block in row 12 every now and then though. Up the Bees!!

Thank you Harlow. There is also a thread started by Stedders because he is organising BFC face masks and is stating he's self funding these, I have dropped him a message to say I would send a tenner, if everyone helps out it would spread the load.

Thanks for your message. Unlike Pete I'm a virgin using this forum. How would I be able to get a private message to Paul Stedman?

Click on his name and it will take you to a private message page, then type the title and there’s a gap to type your message Vin.

All, Stedders had been incredibly generous and kindly offered to pay for the 50 Brentford face masks requested for people attending the funeral. It’s a lovely gesture but sure a lot of us would like to chip in so he has started another thread with a request to contact him by PM if you’d like to donate.
I believe there will also be an opportunity to donate to the Air Ambulance that took Pete to hospital so please get involved if you’d like to.

Thanks again all. I can't tell you how much support from dedicated Bees fans is going on behind the scenes. Pete's good mates and others (who know who they are), have been brilliant in their personal support of me and the family. Stedders and Ace Face just so determined that Pete's contribution to the Club is recognised and Pete is given the respect he deserves. The GPG and Bees fans at their absolute best.
As soon as I have the full details of the funeral and the Wiltshire Air Ambulance arrangements, I'll put them up on here.
Thank you and up the bees.

Sincere condolences to all Pete’s family and friends, and in memory of a dedicated Bee, who has travelled the long road of loving this club, no matter what.
It is a timely reminder to us all to enjoy each and every day, and cherish each moment we have with our family, loved ones and friends, for none of us know when we will have that last match.
RIP.

Hi everyone, my name is Paul and I am Petes brother in law , having read all your wonderful comments and tributes to Pete I wanted to say thank you so much it is so comforting for both families. I met Pete 36 years ago when he first met my sister and we clicked straight away and over the years we had countless nights out , meals , holidays, live music events and so many good times , he loved Brentford and I was lucky enough to attend Griffin park with him a few times and have a drink in the Inverness club where he seemed to know everyone !! He was a fantastic larger than life character and he was one of my best friends as well , absolutely devastated by his passing and life won’t be the same again , thank you all again so much Paul Greening.

Never knew Pete, but heard of what he had done for the Bees. Clear to all he was well thought of.

Hi to all of you on this site. I am one of Pete’s brother in laws. Reading all through these tributes and memories has genuinely made me emotional… but also happy that so many of you knew him and that he left such a footprint in so many peoples lives… not just our family but to so many people, who once making his acquaintance and seeing his smile, could feel the mans warmth. He has left a massive hole in so many people’s lives but also such fantastic memories. It was honestly such a pleasure to meet up with Pete at family events. Pete’s family summer bbq was always one my highlights of the year. So much laughter and fun. My last meet up was at his daughter Clare’s wedding in August. He was so proud on the day and having all the family around him was his perfect day… and ours. Can’t believe I won’t see him again. I raise a glass to you Pete, family man, friend and legend. Owen

Hi Everyone,

I'm Pete's daughter Clare and I've been following this thread over the past week, as it has bought such comfort to read people's wonderful messages at what has been the most difficult of times.

My Dad loved Brentford so passionately so to see you all giving that love back is fantastic. As a family we have so many memories from supporting Brentford, that are even more special now. I'm so glad that my brother Jack and I caught the Brentford bug, as it meant we got to spend so much time with Dad , sharing his love for this great club along with our dear Uncles and at one time our Grandad Syd too. I'm so glad Dad got to see us play in the prem! Who would ever have thought we'd get there?!

Thank you again for your tributes to the best Dad!

Clare xx

You Beeeeeees!
