No he didn't. When he got subbed in his first pre season game after an hour I didn't think he was going to make it off the pitch, he was so red faced and puffing it looked like he was going to faint. I thought "well, that was embarrassing, but at least it is the last we will see of him" When I read a few days later wally downes had given him a contract I nearly fainted myself... through shock. The rest after THAT is history.

National League Barnet have sacked manager Peter Beadle after a nine-game winless run.

The 48-year-old replaced Darren Currie in August but only won four of his 16 games in charge.
Barnet, 20th in the table, lost 6-0 at Chesterfield on Saturday and have not won in the league since 13 October.
