I just had a call from a fella employed by the club to have a ring round of deferred ST holders to check if everything’s going OK for them in lockdown. No sales pitch or anything, just ten minutes shooting the breeze and reminiscing about the good old days of Chic Brodie, Mel Scott, Micky Block, et al. How nice is that?

It was a chap called Mike Sullivan. I can be as cynical as the next man but he knew his stuff as far as the early sixties team was concerned and there was no commercial aspect to the call whatsoever.

My 85 year old father got call from Cliff Crown middle last year during lockdown to check he was ok, whether he needed any help with anything etc. Talked for 15 mins. He then got call on his 86th birthday couple weeks ago from Monique Choudhuri. Very nice touch and all credit to the club for checking in on their senior ST holders. Long may it continue even when we join the big boys in the premier league

Last time I got a call from the club it was Alastair Hill on my work landline accusing me of committing fraud because I had purchased a student season ticket... Not my fault they didn't make it a condition of purchase that you had to be a Full Time student...

Wonder where that arsehole is now....
