I think to start with you will need to transfer to full site

thanks, but no further option there. will do an inelegant workaround later at home (can't be arsed now).

been reading threads about how it's totally inexplicable that the Galaxy S7 removed the ability to resize photos. not gonna bother with a new app etc for this - know how to do it easy enough on my computer, so i'll do it at home, as i said

if you're on the "standard" GPG (not the mobile version), then at the bottom of each thread (so under this post, now) is a box saying "Quick Reply". above where you type your text, there is a row of icons - e.g. the 3rd, 4th and 5th icons are the standard "B I U" (bold italic underline) icons.

the third icon from the right is the "Insert Image" button.

does that make sense? (please say yes )

Yes I found that Icon but not been successful in loading photo

yeah to be honest, the next step used to confuse me - but if you click "choose file" and find your picture, THEN click "upload file" (under "choose file"), that should work. unless your photo's too pissing big

nope - you can get apps for it if you want to do it all on your phone :shrug:

otherwise, i just put them on my googlie drive, downloaded them to my computer, resized them there and then uploaded them to here

Wanted to find a couple of photos that I posted on here years ago in the thread Shots of 1971 (which I posted in 2009) but they don't seem to be there anymore. When threads are archived, are the photos deleted?

Thanks for checking. Yes, that's where I looked, which is what gave rise to the question. Anyone able to confirm/deny? They were b/w photos I'd taken myself and I'm not sure where the originals are now!

They are not on the server that we've just migrated from unfortunately. However the thread was from over 10 years ago so they were probably lost in a previous server migration....

You'll have to find them again
