Errrrm. Think that's us sliding into the corner when we've scored. Errrm Whoosh? We need to stop whatever rugby nonsense is causing this damage to our wonderful pitch!!!

Am I right in suggesting our pitch is modular, like carpet-tiles in offices, so that worn pieces of turf can be replaced and repaired ?
No. It's not an office carpet.Am I right in suggesting our pitch is modular, like carpet-tiles in offices, so that worn pieces of turf can be replaced and repaired ?
Poor technique on that one, literally went flying into the air before landing. When done properly it shouldn't be an issue, apart from for the poor groundsmanI hate knee slide celebrations by our players; I worry they'll injure themselves. Just thinking about Sergi v Arsenal still makes me anxious...
Get a decent tan under that
Could someone translate please. After the horse has bolted we have a situation that really isn’t a good deal giving the rugby club all of our facilities which gives there support attendances woeful to keep this arrangement going after this season surely ?
It was a horse? Are we sharing with the Vienna Horse School now too? That would explain a lot. After the horse has bolted we have a situation that really isn’t a good deal giving the rugby club all of our facilities which gives there support attendances woeful to keep this arrangement going after this season surely ?
Can't lie, I was very happy Baptiste didn't join in with the slidingI hate knee slide celebrations by our players; I worry they'll injure themselves. Just thinking about Sergi v Arsenal still makes me anxious...

If this was streamed it would be more watchable than Formula 1 !
Not sure fining is the way. Good systems of accountability would lead to players having to repair the pitch they have damaged ! And doing some hours with the physio department repairing players who have injured themselves (whether from knee sliding or otherwise !). Was gobsmacked how much it gouges out of the turf ….Players should be fined for knee sliding. F1 drivers would not deliberately crash gears or rugby types goudge their own eyes?
I thought the groundsman had banned knee slides, or was that comment slightly tongue in cheek?
I'd be more worried about the players knees quite frankly. Try that in Gunnersbury Park and they'd be ripped to threads.I thought the groundsman had banned knee slides, or was that comment slightly tongue in cheek?

You've been reading too many of Nanny's posts.Don’t you clean that before playing but dirty snd unhygienic if you not too![]()
Does that mean we can cut the grass really short for today's game??London Irish game tomorrow (Monday 3rd) cancelled and not to be rescheduled, so one
less rugby fixture to worry about.
I don’t think we need to worry anyway. The pitch has looked fine recently. (Ok, I am a bit shortsighted!)London Irish game tomorrow (Monday 3rd) cancelled and not to be rescheduled, so one

When was the last time LI played on it?Looked ropey yesterday.

Could hardly see the rugby markings yesterday.
100% hindering us. Raya had to deal with a good few bobbles. The pitch certainly doesn’t look like the carpet other teams seem to have the luxury to play on.
Wow! Never even noticed. My thoughts:100% hindering us. Raya had to deal with a good few bobbles.
I don't believe the club's energy provider is 100% renewable is it? If not, would like to see us switch to purely renewable at earliest contractual opportunity as we are certainly going to be getting through our fair share of electricity usage!
And he slipped over after one goal-kick in the second-half after the pitch had been heavily watered at half-time. it was a minor heart in mouth moment that he had not got injured, and was still a great kick out though!100% hindering us. Raya had to deal with a good few bobbles.
Yes its dreadful, and yes we should expect bowling greens at this level.Wow! Never even noticed. My thoughts:
- Must have been minimal if I didn't even notice, therefore is this significant enough to be hindering us?
- Same for both sides
- How spoiled have we become to be expecting a bowling green every game? Most of us are old enough to remember pitches not quite of the modern day standard. Think Baseball Ground mid-January. In fact think of the famous Maradona goal against England. Not only did he dribble through the entire team with the ball glued to his feet... he managed to negotiate this feat on a surface which today might only be deemed fit for grazing animals.
- I think I need to drink less pre-match. Or finally admit I might need glasses. I normally notice these things. Actually feel a bit annoyed with myself!
Wouldn't categorize it as dreadful, but you're probably right about the requisite standards at this level, in this age. Hadn't heard of the players complaining?Yes its dreadful, and yes we should expect bowling greens at this level.
The players have mentioned it. It will be hindering us.
I believe it was mentioned in an player interview on the club's website, however that comment was swiftly removed.Wouldn't categorize it as dreadful, but you're probably right about the requisite standards at this level, in this age. Hadn't heard of the players complaining?
The captain himself!I believe it was mentioned in a player interview on the club's website, however that comment was swiftly removed.
I can also tell you that the players have been complaining about it, a lot!
