The August Changes have been announced (early)
Did they even consult you? Bloody EPL. Just riding roughshod over the GPG's resident guru. #teamslikeBrentford

Amazon have announced their TV games.

These weren't really a "pick", they get what they are given as they get a bank holiday and a midweek. This has been known a while, see

So After 3 weeks
Tv Picks
3 Arsenal Liverpool Man U

1 Brentford

I detect a common theme here
The theme is no different to the Championship… bigger clubs (that pull in a larger tv audience) or those anticipated to be near the top of the league are put on tv most often.

Hence, we were on very regularly whilst a top end championship side that played attractive football.

The Championship did not have a maximum quota

So at least Leeds cant be picked every week now

I predict that there is a very very strong chance of Amazon changing either the kick off time or the match date.

Also there is also the chance that the game will be moved due to games on the Weekend before Amazon being moved for TV

E.g. if you play Sun Dec 27 you won't play Mon Dec 28

Judio is there a chance of Villa v Bees moving to Sunday despite not being on TV?

I recall Sky spreading out the early rounds of the league cup over several days and I wondered if it is yet known whether they could stick either team on a Thursday of round 2 forcing a league match delay by 24 hours. This feels like something they'd ask Championship clubs to do I wonder if they'd do it in the PL too.

I actually want us to have a Sunday game that week so am clutching at straws!

Morning, so weather they are selected for TV or not, is it highly likely the West Ham and Leicester games will move to the Sunday on the respective weekends?

My understand on reading the fixture list was that
Leicester will be moved to Sunday or possibly Monday
West Ham must be on the Sunday, because it's also the international break following that

Well, if they move it they might have to move it again for TV? If we know it's moving is that enough for now even if it could be clearer to the uninitiated who glance at the fixture list?

Well it's not moving back to the Saturday is it?

No. But it is arguably more confusing to officially move it to Sunday 3pm and then move it again to 1:30pm Sunday or 8pm Monday due to TV? I agree, it is not very helpful to leave it on the calendar as Saturday knowing that this will not happen.

The original fixture dates and times are defaults until TV moves them. I'd suggest for clubs in the Europa League the weekend after matchday the default should be Sunday

The Sunday non tv games are now selected at a matching time to another live game

So Brentford Leics cannot pick Sunday at 200 if Sky only select a Sun at 430 match

The reason must be due to overseas contracts like USA who show all 380 games live

With the changes to the Leicester and Chelsea games, that means only 1 Saturday 3:00PM kick off at LR (BHA on 11th Sept) between start of the season and 6th November (Norwich)..............

I can live with those. Monday at home would be the real killer for me. South West Trains need to put on 'Brentford Specials' down to Somerset for any 20:00 kick offs.
Will be driving that way myself for most games. Let me know if you get stuck, I'm sure we could sort something out.

At St. James’ Park, certainly, not so good at Turf Moor.

Agree, 5.30 on a Saturday is the best slot for a game, always a cracking atmosphere.
Depends who and where you’re playing. A 12.30pm up north not good for some but okay for me. I’m then back at a reasonable time before kiddo goes to sleep.

Match of the Day 2?

it’s been moved because the Hammers are playing in Europe the previous Thursday, not specifically for tv.
