WEEK 7
Saturday 2 October

Sunday 3 October
14:00 Crystal Palace v Leicester (Sky)
14:00 West Ham v Brentford (UEFA)

Manchester United and Aston Villa's Premier League match at Old Trafford on Saturday, 25 September has been brought forward from a 15:00 kick-off to 12:30 .

The time change has been requested by Trafford council because of a music concert taking place at Lancashire Cricket Club on the same day as the fixture.

Request probably made by LCCC so that they can still get their parking income from the football match.

If you were getting the train up and booked to arrive at Picadilly at 1 pm

This is far too late to move kick off
It is too little notice for fans
Villa fans think the same...

Is there generally a set time today when this gets announced? I'm poised ready to set some plans in motion around these fixtures.

Welcome to the Premier league

They promise a date for Tv Changes
You wait all day

Nothing happens

No explanation

So onto the next day......
According to a mate who’s in the broadcasting game, the delay is due to the Premier League trying to bring forward the December fixtures announcement (scheduled for 11/Oct) and announcing them with November all in one go.

*He often comes out with all sorts of bullshit like this however so how true it is, I have no idea.

You'd have thought a few changes in league position wouldn't affect the decision very much.
Could probably be done by AI on fixture announcement day and save a few six-figure salaries

It is more likely

Sky have picked games for Sun Nov 28th
And Amazon have objected as that restricts their picks on Tues Nov 30th

It's announcements for games two months from now, they've known the fixtures for months...surely these last minute discussions could have happened before now.

I doubt it'll impact on the cost of my flights for a few games, but if course many of us have various ducks we need to get lined up which this delay doesn't help with.

I think you've highlighted those because they are the reverse of the normal broadcasting pattern, rather than because there is any Brentford connection?

Anyway Newcastle away appears to be in the clear but only 4 games picked that weekend....just like the weekend of 11/12 September. So presume that is that, there are no more slots TBC we don't think...

Yes they dont have the rights to show 5 games every weekend so some they can only pick 4
So no more movements for November

Sky at their worst is picking us on Sunday 28th when there's already games that need to be moved to Sunday because of UEFA. Why is Man City v West Ham not a more attractive pick? Can't be quotas surely as we've already been picked 3 times and sky aren't that hot on Man City. Am I missing something here?

Thought the same. Have not looked into it but sounds like Amazon are showing all 10 midweek games the following week so bit of a d*** move by Sky to make it difficult for them?

I can be cynical and say by picking Everton for Sunday Amazon cant show Mersey Derby on Tues night
And cant show Man U v Arsenal either

So they have
Man U v Arsenal
Everton v Liverpool
Plus Chelsea Man C and Spurs games
And cant show any on Tues
Meaning one on Thurs and all rest on same night

Fri night game
Sat 1230 game
Sat 1730 game twice
Sun 1400 game

So all we have left is a Sun 1630 game to meet our quota of minimum picks

No we don't
We are paid for a minimum of 10 games regardless of picks

The Minimum picks are in your wiki post

The Quotas do NOT include Amazon and BT midweeks as we are shown on all four of those

I meant the weekend quota picks..

Is there any chance of Man U home being moved?
