Agree with all this. I was getting carried away Wednesday night and saying future England captain. And now sober I still think it. Ollie Watkins will captain England. You heard it here first (unless you were with me on Wednesday and remember anything said after 3-0). Like a younger much cleverer version of Harry Kane with a better shot on him. What a player. Never thought we'd be over Neal Maupay so quickly.

Give him 6 months in the Prem, if he can handle it there I can certainly see an England call up

I think outsiders would find it amazing that we're not all going straight for Said, the £35 million man.

This is one of the hardest PoY for a long time, if not ever.

For me it's Watkins, and the Swansea second leg epitomised this, not just his goal, but as I mentioned in the reports thread for that game the minute where he chased down Bidwell, and then won a free kick up the other end of the pitch.

Between Ollie and Christian for me. Ollie shades it for me because he has effectively been playing in a new position this season and was 2nd top scorer in the League for the normal season. He has also led the line exceedingly well, works his socks off and enables us to defend from the front. Christian a very close 2nd as he's been what we've been missing for years in centre midfield.

Lots of others follow not far behind!

have to say, astonishing Pinnock and Jansson only getting 10 votes between them out of 136 so far, considering our good our defensive record has been this season (both on its own, and compared to previous seasons). Goes to show how great we've looked on all areas of pitch.

Agree with many on here that the team perform better with Norgaard in the team.
Obviously no one can overlook Ollie for his goals and work rate.
Rico has been brilliant all season too ..then again I cant name one who hasn't.
But if I have to pick one it has to be Pontus if he had played the whole season I have zero doubt we would have been top 2 he is an absolute snip at the price we paid true leader in every sense of the word

Lots of recency bias in the votes in my opinion! Well, at least with regards to Norgaard anyway who took a bit of time to settle in the first part of the season. Watkins by a distance for me; with a very honourable mention to Rico Henry.

Norgaard for being a midfield beast

Pinnock or Jansen. The perfect pairing both boasting fantastic seasons in their own ways

Rico. Injury free but showing us what a player he is. Best tackle of the season too (feck off Cooper)

Lastly Raya. Perhaps the best keeper we've had in recent times

My vote is Norgaard

Tough call.

2 players come to the top.

Watkins for his very visible work in scoring goals, his great attitude, plus his sheer effort up and down the pitch.

Norgaard for so much, but often unnoticed, skill and work in winning the ball in midfield, breaking up the opposition,and getting us back into attack, plus his sheer effort up and down the pitch.

They both deserve the award, but Norgaard gets my vote for sticking to his somewhat unglamorous role of being our midfield speed bump, disrupting any fast attacks from whichever team was trying to get past him.

Great passer of the ball, and will probably become more of a midfield general next season.

Not sure what your trying to say, is it not possible a keeper could be player of the year for his team? whether or not they finish 1st, 3rd or even 10th.
