don’t talk nonsense. Look at our record without him last season.

he was turned inside out yesterday for their goal but where was the other defenders with the header?

he is a rock.
Sorry,
but if you're saying this is the same player that after equalising for Leeds against us at Elland road was so pumped he swore live on sky sports and tried to pull the Villa player back after Bielsa ordered the Leeds team to let Villa score you are the one talking nonsense.
My original post was an observation NOT a criticism.

Hopefully Goode is fit and firing again soon. Will surely supersede Jansson at some point this season. At the very least will provide some healthy competition.

Teams are now specifically targeting the Dalsgaard/Pontus partnership and they're really struggling. Expect more from our captain when we're falling apart like this. Was telling that Dalsgaard had to get the team together.. Is he interested?

Has he been that good since the restart after lockdown?Dreadful today along with many more but he’s become powder puff turned his back on one of the goals.

All a bit concerning with Pontus. Best CB in the league when he;s in the mood but I am begining to think his head goes far too easily when things are not going so well. PNE had far too much time in the box today. That's not what you want from a captain. I hope he gets himself together quickly.

Sorry, not even close to being the best CB in the league in any mood he might be in. He’s not the best in our team for starters.

Certainly not leading by example and very poor on the ball. Add in a lack of pace, especially when next to Henrik who also isn't gifted in that department, and its not hard to see why PNE had so much joy down that side.

No denying Pontus is not on top of his game. It's difficult to quantify the leadership thing as we're not on the pitch and don't know exactly what he says to the team and what his style of communication is.

Let's hope, first and foremost, he finds his top game soon.

I do wonder if last season will prove his best one when he played a big part in us being in a position where winning any one of three games would have for us promoted.

Agreed, when you're struggling a bit with your own game it makes it doubly difficult to inspire those around you. I've seen enough of him to give him the benefit of any doubt. Hopefully he'll comeback after the International week looking more like the international defender and leader of last season.

Oh dear. That was awful. Got the wrong side of his man and allowed the ball drift over his head. Totally responsible for what looks like the winning goal.

I’d go so far to say he needs a break, he’s had two tough seasons mentally with back to back heartbreak, plus the short turnaround. Looks shot to me at the moment

Not been right for a while. Need him firing on all cylinders, especially with Goode injured..

a lot of games coming up for Pontus over the next few weeks, could probably have done without him playing the full 90 for both Sweden games! Is Goode fit yet?

Wonder how bad that injury is. Doesnt look like a bad one from the TV. Players tend to signal for a sub etc straight away, i think PJ was debating playing on.

I thought it looked like his hamstring which could be a few weeks at least. TBH I think he needs a rest anyway and hopefully CG is fit soon. Sorensen was v good when he came on too

And the fact he stayed on the side watching the game normally bodes well. Although Norgaard attempted to play on too and he’s ended up being out for a couple of months so you can’t always tell.

Looks like a standard hamstring pull, probably a couple of weeks off.

Will please the people that thinks he has is complete bobbins now based on the last 3 performances after being our rock for 50 games last year.

He didn't play anywhere close to 50 games last season.

He's clearly a leader on and off the pitch, but like last season I can see him missing a lot of games. I was surprised to see how long his contract is and one way or another I can't see him seeing it out. Hopefully we've already got his successor on the books, because we are going to need them before the season is out.

Was a massive part of our defensive improvement last year, and when he was out injured last year we really felt it (don’t have the stats but goals conceded and points won both went massively in the wrong direction when he wasn’t available).

He had a couple of bad games at the end of last year, and hasn’t started this season in great form, but every player goes through a bad run and we know this guy is a top top CB for this league. Have no doubt we’ll miss him, and he’ll be much better after a couple of weeks’ rest.

Those games that he missed last season did as much for his reputation than the ones he played. He was mostly excellent last year but he has been a bit shaky since lockdown and again today. Let's see if we miss him as much this time around or whether big Charlie Goode (if fit) provides a cooler head...

From what Henrik intimated Charlie Goode is fit but Mads Bech is challenging him for the number three Centre back spot. Whilst the club obviously would rather have a left and right footed combination at Centre Back would not be surprised to see Mads start with Pinnock on Saturday even with a fit Charlie Goode.

Could Sorensen and Hammar being on the bench instead of Baptiste and Goode (as suggested on the club website) have had something to do with the rules on having club developed players in the squad?

I think Sorensen and Pinnock make a perfectly decent pairing in Pontus’s absence. I’m much less worried about the impact of his injury than last season.

We only need one club developed player in the entire squad.
Sorensen played v well. He’s matured into a man mountain this season and merits his spot. We don’t have an issue with getting a club developed player into the squad but from PG’s interview, getting a lot in on merit is part of demonstrating we are doing the right things.

Will be out for a little while is my guess. Too many games coming too thick and fast, so a rest should help him. He's been a shadow of what he was at his best last season IMO - in contrast to Pinnock who has been superb and has dominated our central defence in recent weeks. It's never good to have the captain down but like others have said, I feel a little less worried with Sorensen making good progress. As a big a concern is keeping Pinnock fit and well, he's played a lot of football.
